Guerlain Orchidee Imperiale Fluid
by bringingsexyback
WHAT IS IT?
A moisurising fluid containing Guerlains Orchidee Imperiale Molecular Extract. This is taken from the orchid and forms the whole Orchidee Imperiale range. This fluid is lighter than than the iconic cream so is suitable for most skin types, the very rich cream is harsh so you need very resilient skin to use it. ...
HOW DO YOU USE IT?
Cleanse your skin thoroughly and pat dry. Apply a very small amount of fluid to your skin and massage in using gentle circular motions.
BENEFITS
This is an anti-aging fluid and promises visible results in two weeks. I use it myself and it's moisturising but I do not have wrinkles to test out these claims on my own skin. One of my older ladies uses Guerlain products and has beautiful skin but after trialling the Orchidee Imperiale on my recommendation she has told me that the crows feet around her eyes are shallower and I can see this is the case. I can see that the fine lines round her mouth are smoother too, these effects took longer than two weeks but show that the fluid is effective.
WHAT I THINK
This Guerlain fluid is beautiful to use and feels very soft against my skin, like velvet. It absorbs very quickly and leaves a silky powdery feeling on my skin, I love the way my skin looks after I have applied the fluid because it glows with health and vitality. The fluid is better used in the morning to make your skin look good all day long, for extra moisture you can use the Orchidee Imperiale cream at nighttime but if you do that you should do a skin patch test first because it doesn't suit everyone.
It doesn't feel sticky on my skin and leaves it feeling very soft and smooth. I apply my foundation after using this fluid because it gives me a good base and helps me to attain a flawless finish. There is no residue after using this fluid and I have never had a poor skin reaction to it.
ANYTHING ELSE?
A 30ml bottle of this fluid costs £180 in Debenhams and is sold in a beautiful glass and navy pump bottle, the pump dispenses a very small amount every time you press it so you don't waste any of the fluid because at that price you can't afford to waste a drop.

Guerlain Orchidee Imperiale Cream
by robosharkatron
I have always thought that it is very important to look after my skin. The way you look can affect your life in a big way. You only get one chance at good skin care, so it's worth doing it properly. I decided to invest in this cream after reading rave reviews online. At £262 for a 50ml pot, it really isn't cheap. But I think it's worth ... it.
The product comes in a very pretty luscious purple jar with a gold lid. It screams luxury and I'm very proud to have it sitting on my dressing table. Of course, how it looks has nothing to do with how good it is, but opening up this magic little pot always makes my mornings a little bit brighter.
On opening the pot, you'll find that the cream is dreamily soft and light. It doesn't have a strong fragrance either. Nor does it have that greasy, smothering feel that some creams have. The skin is allowed to breathe, which keeps it feeling fresh and clean.
After using this cream, my skin feels nourished. Skin looks and feels softer. There's a fullness to my face. Skin looks plump and perky, but feels tighter and toned. The contours of my face look and feel more defined. The red, blotchy tinge that my face is prone to is gone so I don't need to wear cover-up make up. The skin around my eyes looks brighter and more taut.
People actually compliment me on how my skin looks- something that I have never experienced with other facial creams! When I look in the mirror, I can see a visible difference. I generally look younger and fresher faced. It definitely works. No question.
There's no getting away from the cost of this product though. People tend to recoil in horror when I tell them how much I spend on my skin care regime, but I see it as a long term investment. I realise that this isn't the cheapest of products out there, but you have to remember that you get what you pay for. I feel this product is worth every penny and would recommend it to anyone, whether you're a young person just starting your anti-aging regime or an older person trying to banish those pesky wrinkles. Guerlain Super Aqua-Day Refreshing Gel-Creme
by flodombey
This is one of the Guerlain products which came as part of a hamper I recently won. I received a sample size of this which is a small round 5ml pot but the full size version is 30ml and costs anywhere between £31-44 online from various retail outlets - I would advise shopping around if you intend on purchasing this as it seems the price ... varies. Also if your local department store has a Guerlain counter it might be worth asking to sample it first as it is a very pricey product.
The packaging of this product is the standard mid blue and gold and the pot is a small round one with a twist off lid. The cream gel itself is an off white colour which is slightly translucent and it feels very silky to the touch. I have used this on my face and neck and although it is a small sample size that I have, a little goes a long way and I have been able to use it daily for a number of weeks and still have a little left in the pot.
Personally I would not pay the quite extortionate price for a full size pot of this but I do like it enough to look for it on special offers or duty free, it would also be a very welcome gift. This cream gel claims to be super hydrating and I have to admit that it sinks into the skin with almost alarming speed, leaving a very soft and hydrated feeling. I have tended to use this in a morning, straight after a shower and it really does feel like it replaces the moisture lost by washing the face in hot water.
There is no overwhelming fragrance to this product and that suits me well as my skin tends to react quite badly sometimes to strongly scented creams. I do believe this cream has improved the elasticity of my skin and it clearly is a high quality product, I do love the fact that it sinks completely in with rapid speed and does not leave my skin sticky - these are absolute must haves in a cream for me.
This is one of few Guerlain products where I really believe the quality shines through (although I still resent the price tag being so high) and it does seem to work very well at hydrating the skin. All in all I do like this product and believe it is worth using, especially if you suffer with dry skin. Read the complete review |
