I have to confess that I'm not the greatest fan of lip glosses, I hate having to reapply them and I'm quite fussy when it comes to choosing one. Whilst out shopping with a friend, she decided to treat me to a Guerlain lip gloss from the Kiss Kiss range, I had the choice from from 10 different bright shades, I chose the Cherry Fizz gloss as I wanted it to look bold compared to a nude lip, this had a slight hint of red.

At £19, it seemed expensive to me as I'm used to paying £5 but I guess you pay for the quality, and thought that I would only use it for occasions, so it made it special and my friend instisted on me having it. It doesn't look like your standard lip gloss, it's packaged in a square container, it's quite simple but sophisticated, which is what you would expect at that price. The applicator is a good size and makes the lip gloss application easy and smooth to do.

You only need to use a small amount of lip gloss, when you apply it as otherwise it can feel quite heavy and gloopy, then it goes sticky. As you are paying more, a little goes a long way. My only slight annoyance is that it transfers really easily and doesn't stay point, you'll find the colour on everything but your lips.

I do think it's a good lip gloss, however it has its faults like others and £19 is way too expensive for this. I think that the consistency isn't right and would be willing to try other Guerlain lip glosses and see if they perform better. We bought ours from a Guerlain counter in John Lewis but I'm sure you can find them online (probably cheaper!) and in other department stores.
