Advantages: Striking bottle, doesn't run

Disadvantages: Does nothing to thicken lashes

My sister had bought this product after a friend of hers bought it and swore that it gave her the most amazing cat eye shape ever. We were getting ready to go out one night so she handed it to me, having already sold me on how amazing a product it was - the sleek, elegant shape of the tube and the couture label had all but convinced me of its awesomeness before I even tried it on. So I unscrewed the top and excitedly applied the mascara, using both ends as my sister had advised me - the bigger brush for your main lashes, and the smaller brush for my outer lashes.

And the mascara certainly did NOT miss a single lash - every lash stood out in stark contrast to the other, but it didn't produce a look that I really appreciated. The lashes were defined, but they weren't any thicker or curlier - if anything, my eyes looked all the more bare for having each lash's true nature accentuated as such. Using the smaller brush at the outer corner of my eyes was a great novelty but I'm unconvinced it made any sort of difference. I ended up rooting through my bags for my trusty Diorshow and slicked that on over it, happier with the thicker lashes that mascara gave me.

So I know many people who are great aficionados of Le 2 de Guerlain mascara, but I'm not a big fan - I think you need lashes that are already very thick and only need definition to really get the most out of this product. If you're unlucky in the lashes department, then go somewhere else!
