"Oh, Auntie Joy! That brown eyeshadow you're wearing is so ageing!" This was the kind greeting I received at a family wedding last month from my 'considerate' (read: spoilt brat) niece, Tia. A would-be beauty therapist, Tia (not her actual name, she is nineteen with delusions of grandeur which results in her given name of Sarah being far too 'common' for her liking)... well, Tia is a rather irritating creature due to the fact that whenever she sees any of the female members of my clan she wants to give them a make-over. And to do this she is so incredibly insulting, so it was rather (uncharitably) amusing to hear her make the basic error of ... Read the complete review

Well, it's been a while since I wrote my last review, but have finally found some time to do some writing - so here goes! I will start with Guerlain's Ombre Eclat 1 shade eye shadow which I have been using for a couple of years now. Guerlain produce high end makeup and skincare products, but are best known for their classic perfumes. This eyeshadow is quite versatile in the sense that it initially goes on quite lightly, which looks great in the daytime but can easily be built up for a glamorous evening look. Application is a doddle, it goes on very smoothly, it does come with its own sponge applicator, but I never use these, as I have said in ... Read the complete review

Although they are a very expensive brand I find that not only the quality is great, but the longevity of their products is fantastic. With everything I have bought, a little goes a long way and I get a lot of wear for my money, this eye shadow is no exception and although I don't wear it every day I do wear this probably more than I do the majority of my others. This Guerlain ombre éclat eye shadow is one of my favourite eye shadow's even with or without an eye primer this eye shadow ... Read the complete review

I am sure that if you read from the review that I posted yesterday that I am a big fan of make-up. I have a number of different products in my make-up bag and one of the things that I like to experiment with when it comes to my makeup are shades on my lips and shades on my eyes. I am certainly no snob when it comes to make up, but I do have to be a little wary when buying cheaper make up as it can affect my sensitive skin. I have tried a couple of mascaras and eye shadows in the past and they have left my skin feeling quite irritated so when browsing through the cosmetics in Debenhams a couple of months ago I found myself at the Guerlain counter and was looking for a ... ** Guerlain Ombre Eclat One Shade Eyeshadow ** This one is a keeper and have been using it for forever really. It's one of those products that you use once and just know it's a perfect match. I enjoy the Guerlain brand and think they have some fine products. This is the Ombre Eclat One Shade Eyeshadow which is available for around 19 pounds and I got the purple one. Maybe a bit expensive but worth it. *************************************************** As I always love to read what a brand has to say about their own products I saw that this product should give you intense and long lasting colours that should give a more sophisticated, ...
