This shower gel is perhaps an interesting and unexpected departure for Guinot. A brightly coloured fruity bodywash isn't a common offering from a notable salon brand in my experience!
That said, Tropic Tonic is certainly a pleasant way to energise and refresh in the shower.
The scent is distinctly tropical - fruity without being too sweet or overpowering. And it certainly revives the senses so it's perfect for the morning. Especially after an evening of overindulgence!
However, with a price tag of £15.00+, I would expect it to not only wake me up in the shower, but perhaps make me a coffee and fetch me a croissant too!
I suppose the major difference between this and some more budget friendly shower gels, is that I didn't find it too drying, and the scent stayed on my skin for a little while, so that shower fresh feeling lasted a little longer.
Its a lovely product and if you are looking for ways to rid yourself of cash whilst spoiling yourself at the same time, I'd recommend it highly. If like me, you are a little more price concious in these uncertain times, perhaps head to the spiritual home of fruity shower offerings - the Bodyshop!
