Martin Guitars DX-1K:
... My review of the Martin DX-1K Guitar ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ Introduction ~~~~~~~~ Martin are just about the most well known and oldest of the major guitar makers... though they have stiff competition from the likes of Gibson, Taylor and more recently the Japanese Takemine range. Still Martin and Co. are really the grand daddy of them all... In my time I ve played many Martin guit... Read the full review: Commander Bond; Do You Want Me To Use The DX-1K? Yamaha Pacifica 112 M MN ... Yamaha Pacifica 112 is often classed as a beginners guitar due to it simple look and budget price. However, I disagree with this as overall it is a very sturdy guitar which will offer many years of advanced guitar playing if treated well. The pickups on this guitar are 2 single coils, and 1 humbucker. This means that the pickup switch can be adjusted to produce a range of sounds from twangy country, to a dirty rock sound. I personally love that the pickup switch can be placed in five different positions as it allows me to play in a range of styles, from Rock to more acoustic sounding music (my personal two favourite genres). The volume and tone knobs allow easy m... Read the full review: A guitar to trust by RPH1991 |

Takamine TAN45C ... i purchased my TAN45c, i had been searching for a new guitar for nearly two years. I tried various martins and taylors but couldn t find one i liked in my price range. I bought the tak mainly because of its deep rich sound when unplugged and to have something different from most peoples predictable choices. it sounds beautiful when picked or strummed and it seems you can just hit the strings harder and harder and it just keeps on impressing. no one can deny its ability to turn heads when its plugged into a PA! the cooltude pick up is outstanding, it has to be heard to be believed! TAN45c not only sounds incredible both unplugged and through a PA, but it looks fa... Read the full review: TAKAMINE TAN45c by Tom Fenton |

Yamaha Guitars in general ... My review of Yamaha Guitars (in general) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ Introduction ~~~~~~~~ Most people know the Japanese brand name Yamaha; some folks associate the name with motorbikes, some with pianos, but what I m interested in is of course Yamaha Guitars (unless Yamaha want to combine all 3 items - which would make for a very fast, novel and musical form of transport -lol!). Most guitarists have always lusted after American made instruments like Fender, Gibson or Martin etc. Some English, German and Italian guitars also made it onto the must have list... but in their early days many Japanese guitars were (quite rightly) snee...
