... first bass was a used Squier P Bass 1999. Good beginner bass, but it had some neck trouble and I decided to get a new bass, and a 6-string was recommended to me. At first I thought the transition would be too much - but this bass has proved me wrong. The neck is extremely comfortable, hardly wider than my 4 string, and the 35" scale was perfect for my larger-than-average hands. Surely, I thought in the shop ... Once you ve set up your bridge height and pick up to suit your personal style, (unfortunately they don t come set up from the shops), you ll be enjoying the benefits of the musicman s active control capability (powered by 9v battery) which allows more punch and texture to your playing. Jackson Concert Bass Series C5P ... EXELLENT bass guitar, pickups work perfectly and its perfectly balanced in almost every aspect there are just 3 inconvenients: 1 the strings are too far away from the neck, (talkin bout a milimeter more than perfect) 2 you must stretch your hand to get to the 24th fret 3 its quite heavy but its sound is simply amazing, its playability is also perfect (with this bass I can play Speed Of Light by stratovarius and trilogy from malmsteen, both in the guitar part) also chords are VERY easy, with perfect sound un them I could be writing forever, this bass is perfect for me!...
