Ibanez GAX30:
... have owned this guitar for several years now. It is my second guitar, and that is what it is perfect for: a second guitar. After the initial basic guitar that every new player gets, there comes a stage in your playing where you want to achieve a better sound and you need to get your hands on some new equipment. This usually takes the form of a louder amp and a better guitar. In my opinion the Ibanez Gio GAX30 ... Read the full review: The second guitar. by fahog |

Epiphone Les Paul Special II ... had this guitar over 2 year and man has it served me well! After learning to play on an encore strat copy, I was ready to upgrade. After looking round at all the Vintage, Squires and Crafters, I decided to take a risk and buy the Epiphone off the internet for £115 withough having played it first..and im so glad I did! For a beginner to intermediate player, or even for an expert as a second guitar this is a fantastic axe! It feels solid and has a good weight to it and hung down low like Slash or Billie Joe makes you feel like a rockstar. The double humbucker pickups have that great rock sound, which is great, however I guess one of the downsides is it is a guitar for r... Read the full review: Great for punk rock by mousedadrummer |

Fender Squier Affinity Strat MN ... Frets, 3 single coil pickups, 5 way pickup selector, 2 tone and 1 volume knob, string through body. The Affinity series is the higher end of the Squier line, some people have even compared them with made in Mexico Fender Strats. Mine was made in Indonesia, with a contoured alder body, bolt on maple neck with rosewood fretboard. They come in a range of colours. Squier are generally seen to be beginner guitars but are also used for modding as they are so easy to customise. It definitely is a beginner guitar, the body is ok but obviously won t sound as good as a Fender made with better wood. The finish is nice but close up it doesn t look that natural. The tuners are go... Read the full review: Beginner's Guitar by robertjb |

B.C. Rich Warbeast ... was my second guitar, and it is amazing, I bought it mainly on sheer looks, and it is actually a brilliant quality guitar. The shape appeals to most people as it does to me, however, this is not a guitar for playing sitting down, the points dig into your leg which makes it uncomfortable, also the guitar is much heavier than if you have played a stratocaster for instance. The neck is wider on this guitar than previous guitars i have played, this takes some time to get used to , but now it is really natural and actually more comfortable for me. THe warbeast has the classic tone and volume controls, and also a 3 way switch to change the style of play. The warbea... Read the full review: The Beast!!! by LordYggdrasil |
