Gibson SG Special:
... released). This is the faded model, so the pain is matt rather than a high gloss, but in my opinion it looks better, and the result is it s cheap so is excellent. I paid £550 for mine in a faded cherry red, it was an absolute bargain. What we have here is a typical Gibson affair in terms of materials. Mahogany body, with a rosewood fingerboard, standard hardware in terms of a tun o matic bridge and some nice P90 ... Read the full review: The best value gibson there is by underdog_78 |

Gibson Guitars in general ... guitars for me when I was growing up was something I always aimed to own. They looked so good, played by some true legends and they had that distinct sound that could only be a gibson. Now guitarist generally fall into 3 camps, Fender, Gibson or other. The non Gibson camps generally point out that Gibson have had issues with quality control and also that they are very heavily priced compared to say a US Fender. In my experience with a 2002 Gibson Les Paul, the critisism is fair but, and this but is all that matters, the Gibson inspired me to play the guitar more, thus learn more and enjoy it more and can you really put a price on that. The quality control on the... Read the full review: Ahh Gibsons by underdog_78 |

Gibson SG Special ... I purchased a wine red Gibson SG Special for £500 about 4 years ago. However the price now seems to be ranging from around £600 to £800 at most online dealers. Therefore it is certainly not an ideal guitar for beginners, make sure you will stick at playing before buying one! Guitar Materials The main body of the guitar (the wide end that you strum) is made from solid Mahogony, as is the neck (the thin part that you play the notes). The fingerboard where you place your fingers to play the notes, is made from Rosewood attached to the Mahogony neck. These materials used to build the guitar are very high quality, as reflected in the price, and have a great look and ... Read the full review: Gibson SG Very Special! by Ian2001 |

Gibson Gary Moore Signature Les Paul ... this little wonder last week for the grand total of Euro1000. I know it doesnt have the bindings, the finish, or any of the usual Les Paul niceties. But you know what... it was almost a relief! I own a Les Paul Standard that I am in love with, but it has a crack where the neck meets the headstock, and I am scared senseless of taking it outside my studio. So I saw this by accident at my local... tried it, and I was just in awe! I played dry through a Dual Rec. Since then I have toyed around with it through my usual rack set-up. Its got a great response to dynamics, and a pure wood like tone, that can play anything from scooped riffs, to blues. Quite simply its a L...
