Joe1976 Gibson Les Paul Studio: ... every Gibson, no matter which model, except signature models, use the same pick ups for all their guitars 490 s and 498 humbuckers, so technically a Gibson "Custom" will sound as good as a "Studio", all except for one thing-THE PRICE. A Custom costs around 1900.00 quid, and a Studio, well minus 1000.00 anyway. A Gibson "Studio" in wine red with gold hardware, is a very good looking ...

sparksteroid Les Paul Standard
... owning and playing an Epiphone Les Paul LP100 (the most basic one!) for several years and only dreaming of owning a real Les Paul I thought it was about time I upgraded and managed to get one relatively cheap from a friend who works in the music industry. I must say the difference in moving up from an Epiphone to a Gibson is a stunning experience on it s own for any guitarist. Anyway, this baby has burstbucker pro pickups with alnico v magnets, twenty two frets on a rosewood fingerboard, trapezoid inlays and single-ply fingerboard binding with a mahoganey body tune-o-matic bridge, nickel plating finish, two tone and two volume controls and a rhythm/treble sele...

Smitty83 Les Paul Standard
... can I say? I ve had my Gibson Les Paul for years now, and it is easily the best guitar I ve ever played! Not only is it beautiful, but it s incredibly nice to play. As for the price, well... There s just too much to say about this guitar, so I ll do it in lots of stages. APPEARANCE: Incredible! When I first started playing guitar, I was looking for a beginners axe and I saw one of these on the wall. My jaw literally dropped! (No kidding, I didn t even think that happened in real life...!) Obviously I didn t buy it as my first guitar, I m not that rich/stupid, but it was always the one I wanted and I eventually got it! The shape of the Les Paul is legendary; every fa...

whitton Gibson SG-Z Bass
... bass has some nice action on it, and the body does give that polished professional look. However, the marble - effect scratch plate is tacky and I recommend buying a plain black or asking for plain black instead. I love the vintage pick-ups, obsessed with them. A nice balanced sound, bit on the trebly side. However, sitting down an playing feels somewhat awkward, a problem for some but thought i d mention. The pick-ups are slightly below average and I advise you to go for a pair of evolutions....
