Advantages: Strong build, looks, good materials, powerful bass sound (subject also to atleast an adequate amp, of course)

Disadvantages: Heavy - more suited to veteran bassists rather than new ones

I don't actually own this bass, a friend of mine in some band I know does, but I have handled and used this instrument quite enough to give a fairly good opinion on it, even though I'm not a proper bass player.
This instrument basically isn't one of the most striking looking bass guitars in the world, and it's not even part of a big trusted brand name, but that doesn't mean this (around under £200?) bass is not worth it.
The particular model I've played is a classic black bodied one, with a white centre, and a gorgeous wooden neck, and a nice set of strings, and steel frets to boot. It's a full sized guitar, and though I can't remember how many frets there are, there's enough!
It's not really a rocking bass either (unlike another friend of mine, in my band, who has a lighter red bass), as it's really heavy in honesty, when I wore it over my shoulder it almost pulled me down, so it's definetly not the kind of bass you'd run around on stage with. But the immense boom and power in this bass compensates this greatly for the studio environment, and wherever you need big bass sounds without any need for movement. The strings are strong, the body's strong and it comes with a standard socket to plug it into an amp, and has notches to support a shoulder strap. It'd be advisable to get a case for this, or any instrument really to protect your investment, and to make it easy to carry. It's a good instrument and I'd say it's a choice for the intermediate to higher bassist than the novice one; still a good buy, but I'm not really sure. It looks nice and plays very well anyway, and it's sturdy. I'll just give it an average as I only partly know what I'm talking about, don't quote me!
