 ... earlier it's discontinued and so you should snap up any one you can. I believe this guitar was discontinued because it was every bit as good as it's over priced but nonetheless fabulous cousins. Imagine pulling a guitar off the market because it was 'too good' and threatening sales of much dearer brands (deja vu the MIJ copies of the '70's). Would you spend 3 times as much just for the brand? Me neither. You will not be disappointed if your budget can only stretch to an Epiphone EJ-300. To know it is to love it....more

A hard to come by guitar here in the UK (and especially in Scotland) the now discontinued (and hard to come by anywhere now lol) Epiphone EJ-300S Jumbo Acoustic is a thing of beauty and a joy to behold. The solid top is quite thick and definitely matures with age and the grain chills out a bit. There is much debate over the supposedly limited volume the thing produces especially when compared to it's thinner topped sister guitar the EJ-200 but I find it perfectly useable and not compromised at all. In practice it is miked up or I drop in my Seymour Duncan "Woody" pick-up so volume aint an issue. The moustache shaped saddle and pearlised binding and glorious  Read the complete review
