Advantages: Fast neck, great sound
Disadvantages: expensive
This is a more affordable version of Tom Delonges signature Gibson ES-333 which was released in 2003.
main features:
The epiphone ES-333 has a five-ply lainated top, back and rims. The guitar is finished in a chocolate colour with a single cream coloured racing stripe down the centre of the guitar body ( top also has this tattoed around his arm).
The body is made from maple/birch, andf the neck is mahogany (glued-in) with a satin finish (which feels absolutely lovely to paly, especially with the slim-tapered profile). The neck is 24 - 3/4"-scale and has 22 medium-jumbo frets on the rosewood fingerboard. It also features a LockTone Tune-o-Matic bridge, which is anot a standard feature of most Epiphone guitars.
The pickup installed in this guitar is the Giibson Dirty Fingers pickup. This is a high-output pickup with overwound coils that produces an insane distortion sound.
THis guitar is really only for people who will be playing pop-punk style music, this pickup is very sensitive and would ideally onoly be for live use. The neck is very fast and great to play on - but saying all this the guitar is very expensive (priced at around £1,400).
Iwould highly recommend this, but only if it is for the style stated, otherwise you could be in for a surprise.
Summary: Only for a certain style, but great to play
