An established music brand for little over £60? Hello. (Fender CD-110 E)

Advantages: Unbelievable value for money. Looks sublime and sounds sweet.

Disadvantages: Strings are tight to start, but with use they relax fine.

My electric guitar at last broke, which came as no surprise, as all along I knew it was rather useless. I paid under £100 for it and it sounded quite horrible through the free amp. I did however, muster the motivation to learn on it, which resulted in my permanent hobbie of guitar playing. I always preferred learning acoustic songs on my electric guitar, although they didn't seem to sound as good. So when my electric broke, I had the long-awaited reason to purchase a new guitar. I had seen so many expensive acoustic guitars and wondered whether it was worth the trouble as I had only been playing a short while. With the intention to buy an acoustic guitar to learn on, I didn't want to spend too much money. So I saw the Fender CD-100. I was extremely surprised to see such an established brand for such a low price. This in many senses can be quite off putting, especially as the last guitar I purchased was a similar price. I decided to take the plunge and purchase the Fender, despite the part of me that wanted to say no, keep the money and spend it on alcohol or something just as worthless. I recieved the Fender and was immediately chuffed. Without even playing a chord, I was excited to see the beautifully crafted, shiny guitar. For just over £60 I was impressed, but now I had the task of listening to it. I anticipated a sharp sounding guitar similar to the last, just louder. What I found however was quite the opposite. The Fender sounded great (after a few minutes tuning), very sweet in fact. The strings were very tight to start, but as I'm sure with the most guitars, they have now relaxed slightly. I highly recommend this machine to anyone as a first acoustic guitar, as it's perfect to learn on is undoubtedly great value for money.
