This guitar is marketed as an old school replica. Inexperience might lead one to believe he/she would buy a '60s tele in order to achieve old school sounds. This guitar is often viewed as a twangy guitar for rockabilly or country. People associate the tele with a thin, wirey, bright, and jangly sound great for those types of music. It is true that one can achieve those sounds quickly with a tele. Yet, those are just one side of a tele. The tele can produce sounds perfect for any style of music from rockabilly, jazz, classic rock, and even metal. Many sounds on old jazz albums are teles.
