Advantages: great tone. great sound everything...

Disadvantages: only 19 fretts... but not a real issue

I Started bassing when i got a cheap second hand stagg for £50, i got reasonably good over the two years i used the stagg but i decieded it was time for an upgrade about a year and a half ago, i managed to gather £650 to spend on a bass, i looked around the internet and decieded to get a well known make ie fender, dean, yamaha... a reliable make that wouldnt let me down. i eventually made my decision i was going to get a fender duluxe active bass, i wanted a black one, but my music shop couldnt get a black one for another 3 months, so i placed my order and 2 weeks later i got my bass.

The bass has an amazing tone, especially for slap bass, and blue riffs.
the bass can produce an amazing number of sounds, it is suited to play metal... rock, jazz, blues, funk... anything you want as long as you play around with the tone, bass and treble you will find a perfect setting. the bass works amazingly with my zoom effects pedal... no issues.
When plugged into an amp there is barely any crackle that comes from the pickups on a normal bass, tuning is easy especially as even if you leave it unplayed for a few days it stays pretty much perfectly in tune.
mine came with a very handy gig case. it is quite a heavy bass i find.... lighter than my first bass but still pretty heavy. the only issue i have with this bass.... and its only the slightest issue is that it only has nineteen fretts... and there was one song i learnt where you played just one note on the g string which was on the 21st frett

Summary: a great bass, i reccomend to anyone and eveyone, just make sure you have a good amp to play it on!
