Advantages: Acoustic, Fender, Durable
Disadvantages: Fender, No Cutaway, Notmadeanymore
Another cut and paste as my computer has fallen out with this site. If you find one of these little gems for under £80, give it a quick test and buy it. Pro. Light,Strong and "Playable". Con. Fender Scale [25.5 inch] and cant reach high frets!- oh well... Sounds really good, nice for campfires. sounds full, great tone. I play mainly rock, blues and funk it sounds fine with open chords or with power chords. Action, Fit, & Finish: 8 No flaws that I've found, finish is medium soft, tends to scratch. The higher frets are a little hard to play on. Does stay in tune really well for an acoustic. Reliability/Durability: 8 I used to take this guitar all over, to parties and campfires and such and it's even been in a river with me a couple of times and all round the south of England with me being roundly abused in he process it's now battle scarred and tuely "vintage" [ie beaten up]. It seems really durable, but did break a tuner when it fell over..with the aid of my cat.. I replaced the tuner earlier this year after having superglued the broken one back on (tuning "key"). If I ever get to play a real gig again,I'd definitely take it along for acoustic numbers. For now i take it camping. Customer Support: N/A Never used their customer support, never had to. Overall Rating: 8 Got it 10 years ago and looked at 6 different Gemini !!s :) before i got it - the best sounding of all the Fender Gemini 2s in all of..Luton ..that's for sure! This was my 4th guitar, my first real acoustic. I love the tone, better then my mates acoustic, but it balances out because he's a far better player then me. I'd buy it again in an instant. The only thing I don't like is the tailpeice, or lack of. It has the standard acoustic pins, which are a pain in the butt to change strings.
