Advantages: great tone and versatility

Disadvantages: bridge pickup is useless

Mine is a 1999 model. Sunburst finish, maple neck, 22 frets, white pickguard. 3 single coil pickups. 1 volume and 2 tone controls.
The neck is very smooth and one of the more thinner ones fender makes, very comfortable.
This guitar is most suitable for playing blues and country music on. It has a very nice clean sound to it, and also sounds good with a harsh overdrive/distortion for rock music. This guitar will not cut it for metal though, so if Metallica is your taste go elsewhere. It is good for those SRV, Texas blues tones though.
All in all a very good sounding and versatile guitar which will cover all tastes (except metal).
