I myself own a Fender Jaguar and have had it for three years. I am more than pleased with it. The quality of workmanship is very high and the components are all of high quality. The Jaguar is of slightly shorter scale than most fenders which means it is good for people with small hands. All the Jaguars I have seen have 22 frets which I think is the right amount for any guitar as you can bend the high e string on the 22nd when you do on the rare occassion need the highest e, and don`t have to carry the extra two frets around which would make the guitar harder to play. The main attractions of the Jaguar are that it looks different and more importantly that it ... Read the complete review

I love my jaguar, but I had to do a lot of work on it to make it a truly lovable guitar.. First, you need to know if it's a jaguar you really want - they are very unique guitars with almost no sustain and can be very harsh and trebley. Play one before you decide it's for you. A telecaster may be better buy if you want a good all-rounder. Straight out of the box the guitar is atrociously set up. I would recommend getting it set up by a professional, but before that i would make the following changes. Firstly, take the bridge out. The screws in the supplied bridge gradualy unscrew themselves. I had lost my first screw after a day of owning ... Read the complete review

The Fender jaguar is a very distinctive guitar, and easily stands out in Fenders range of guitars. This is not just in the 'looks' department, the sound from this guitar is also very unique and is not suitable for all styles of playing. This is largely due to how 'loose' the guitar is, even when set up by a professional. This is largely due to the floating bridge. As the strings sit on top of the bridge, there is nothing except their tension to hold them in place. this means if you play to with top much vigor you will knock the string out of the 'ridge' on the bridge which in turn knocks it out of tune. The only way you can stop this happening is if you ... Read the complete review

the first thing you say when you look at this guitar is "cool". Because that's what it is. It's cool. The guitar in question is a white fender jaguar, made in japan. And visually it's stunning, the tortoiseshell pickguard goes great against the white, and the control panel looks lovely. I'm not a fan of rosewood fretboards, but this one looks really good. The two white pickups look classic too, and that headstock confirms that this is a true 60's guitar. Cosmetics over with, the sound. The sound is quite odd. There is room for quite a bit of variation with the switches (there is a switch for each pickup and ... Read the complete review
