	Fender American Stratocaster ... to the raw harshness of the bridge. And inbetween lies some excellent tones for almost every genre. The Strat is incredibly reliable, it has taken a mild battering from gigging, but has held up strong. The standard machine heads are great and even after four years I still find myself rarely slipping out of tune. At the end of the day, this is an American Strat, this is the standard, set by Fender, for electric guitars. It is yet to be beaten, and is great value for money, especially when compared to the over priced, and far less versatile Gibson Les Paul (Which is also incredible). 	Fender Telecasters in general ... my 10 years of guitar playing I ve owned over 20 ranging from the standard models to custom shop classics. Of all these guitars there is one that I will never part with - my Fender telecaster. The telecaster is a real guitar players guitar - it does exactly what it says on the tin. The two pickups offer three settings, each of which is instantly recognisable as a classic guitar tone. The bridge pickup offers a bright twang, the bridge and middle pickup combination gives a smoother twangy tone whereas the neck pickup alone yields smooth mellow tones. 	Fender Squier Affinity Strat MN ... Frets, 3 single coil pickups, 5 way pickup selector, 2 tone and 1 volume knob, string through body. The Affinity series is the higher end of the Squier line, some people have even compared them with made in Mexico Fender Strats. Mine was made in Indonesia, with a contoured alder body, bolt on maple neck with rosewood fretboard. They come in a range of colours. Squier are generally seen to be beginner guitars but are also used for modding as they are so easy to customise. It definitely is a beginner guitar, the body is ok but obviously won t sound as good as a Fender made with better wood. The finish is nice but close up it doesn t look that natural.
