Advantages: Price, Rawness, White-Fur Case...

Disadvantages: Tuning mechanism, Onboard accesories, Pick-Up height (all things that dont take much to change..)

Bought this little wonder last week for the grand total of Euro1000. I know it doesnt have the bindings, the finish, or any of the usual Les Paul niceties. But you know what... it was almost a relief!
I own a Les Paul Standard that I am in love with, but it has a crack where the neck meets the headstock, and I am scared senseless of taking it outside my studio.
So I saw this by accident at my local... tried it, and I was just in awe! I played dry through a Dual Rec.
Since then I have toyed around with it through my usual rack set-up.
Its got a great response to dynamics, and a pure wood like tone, that can play anything from scooped riffs, to blues.
Quite simply its a Les Paul, without the bullshit, that wont break the bank, and you wont mind taking it out. It lends it self to battle!

Only one issue (but this I have found with every damn Gibbo I have come across...) change the tuning to heads to some locking grovers. Its essential.

Also I will suggest, that you spend a little bit on what you saved, and change the volume knobs, and pick up selector, and stuff like that as the original look a wee bit naff. Also, dont forget the strap locks as the standard ar just the tuning mechanism... Shite.

Oh... AND IT WONT BREAK YOUR BACK!

Rock On.

Summary: All Gibson. No Bull.
