BEST IN STORE- Gibson songwriter deluxe cut away EC
I entered my local guitar store ready to buy the Martin D28 i had been eyeing for the last year and just as i started fiddling the in-house guitar guru said " Have you tried the Songwriter?"
The moment i strummed that 1st chord it was mine.
The tone was sharp and clear, the volume excessive and the tinckle when picked made me shiver.
Gibson have tried hard with this guitar to make up the ground lost to Taylor in the last few years, this is not another "old glory", "days gone by" rehash. It is designed and finished to relegate similar priced Taylors back to the 2nd division.
Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, solid electrics, gold grovers, MOP inlays. quality hard case. What more could you want?
This guitar will stay with me and age better than i do, the low action and onboard tuner will keep it easy to use.
Don't buy a guitar in this price range without giving this new classic a try, you'll be kicking yourself later if you don't
Summary: Don't buy a guitar without trying the songwriter
