Advantages: value for money

Disadvantages: not quite a copy of a 335 which some may want

Ah something tasteful from Ibanez, makes a nice change. Along side their famous pointy guitars Ibanez make some fine instruments for those of us without a perm or spandex and here is one of them.

This is a 335 style guitar, it sticks fairly close to the Gibson outline though the horns are notably more pointy but this does allow better higher fret access.

The build quality on the two I have owned were perfect, the finish is immaculate, innotation perfect and set up as a guitar like this should be. with heavy strings for a nice boom.

The electrics in this are surprisingly good, they aren't going to be bareknuckle quality but no worse sounding than say a Burstbucker, which is quite something for a budget guitar. Also all the pots seem to be of good quality, which is hand on a guitar like this as they are so hard to change.

The neck is also nice, it's wide without being uncomfortable like a modern day 50s gibson profile.

This guitar should be considered by those looking for a nice semi at a good price, for those who want something a little meatier than a les paul sound or those simply looking for something great for the blues.

Great guitar.

Summary: Really good guitar in its own right even before considering the price
