Ibanez GRGM 21 Mikro GB
by NeoSnake
So I have played this guitar in some band practices. Quite many times actually.
I think the biggest advantage that it has is its price. It looks quite nice too. And if I think really hard for another positive aspect about this, well I like the buttons. And there the positive side ends.
As mentioned before this guitar is ... cheap really cheap, way too cheap. You can not get a good guitar for this price. Atleast not a brand new one. It does not sound good at all. At least for a person who has dealt with music for some time.
But for a beginner, yes why not, for learning purposes it does its job well.
And I bet it will make the person happy aswell. Atleast for some time.
The guitar's stock strings are rubbish. They do not sound good at all. So you should consider purchasing some good strings. I would recommend Elixir strings. I also do not like the cheap pick ups it has. They do not sound good. But I guess you should take it in to consideration when buying such a cheap guitar.
Overall I do not think that you could get a good and a cheap guitar from Ibanez or Fender. You are better off with some other, perhaps less famous brand (Gibson, Yamaha etc.). Read the complete review |

Ibanez S470
by jOpeth13
For years now Ibanez have been a popular and widely used guitar make, and it is easy to see why. When i first purchased my Ibanez s470 last february, i took a few minutes to just admire the beauty of the actual guitar itself. The quality of the craftsmanship makes Ibanez sought after guitars but you won't understand this statement ... until you actually buy one.
The thin sculpted body of the s470 is strong, comfortable and also looks amazing. The neck is smooth and plays like a dream with jumbo frets that allow any speed or playing style to be performed with ease. When you plug the s470 into an amp you are greeted by a warm tone with crunchy highs and growling lows that will always leave you amazed.
When buying a new guitar it often takes a while to get used to the new shape and feel, but i found that it was comfortable to play from the off and as time progressed it i found i could play almost any style and it still sounded great.
Overall i strongly recommend buying an Ibanez as they are just amazing guitars for any player. Read the complete review |

Ibanez GAX30
by fahog
I have owned this guitar for several years now. It is my second guitar, and that is what it is perfect for: a second guitar. After the initial basic guitar that every new player gets, there comes a stage in your playing where you want to achieve a better sound and you need to get your hands on some new equipment. This usually takes ... the form of a louder amp and a better guitar. In my opinion the Ibanez Gio GAX30 makes the perfect second guitar.
This model has two double pick-ups, with a three combination pick-up selector, your basic volume control dial, and also a single tone dial. The single tone dial makes changing tone much simpler than the two or three tone dials on some other models, but can at times be a hindrance when trying to achieve a specific sound. However, the guitar produces a very well rounded sound as it is, and the lack of further tone modulators will not cause much fuss to the average player. The guitar also has very good action and is relatively easy to maintain.
As far as appearance goes, this is quite an attractive guitar, it's not stunning but it is far from ugly. Mines comes in a red, with a good quality rose-wood fretboard.
Like I said at the start, this guitar is probably your step up from the basic new player's guitar, however, I would recommed it to someone who is thinking about buying their first guitar and has a little bit extra cash. This guitar is good value for money and will provide lasting entertainment for a number of years (before you want that Gibson SG). Read the complete review |
