I bought this guitar about a year and a half ago and since buying it i haven't had to repair a single thing on it, except for the strings of course. Once you get used to the double locking tremolo you're away. This aspect of the guitar can be very useful because even if you knock the tuning pegs when it is locked, your guitar stays in tune, however you do have to get the knack of this first, I liked this at first but then realised it was just easier and more practical when playing at home to take these off the neck, to make it quicker to tune. Also due to this guitar having this putting new strings on is much quicker and far less hassle with trying to thred strings through the back of the guitar.
This is the ideal guitar for someone wanting to step it up to a higher quality guitar.
The Duncan Designed pickups are very high quality, they have a sweet rock sound which is perfect if you're into your rock music. The spacing of the frets is perfect for your fingers to fly round and the slim neck means that your hands don't ache from having to reach soo far.
However there are also negative points about this guitar such as the clean on this guitar is very poor, it was only really designed to be used with distortion, however if you turn it down by the guitar a little and change the swith from lead you can get quite a nice sound.
I would definately recommend this to someone who is just stepping up from a beginner guitar.
Summary: very good guitar for the budding kirk hemmet
