 ... 60's style. The stops bar is the old tuneomatic that is not quite as good at staying in tune as the modern les paul. At the end of the day, its meant to be a 30 year old guitar so we can forgive it that. To buy, you will be looking at the nasty side of £5,000 because they dont make it anymore. When you think of Les Pauls you think they have been around for ever. As long as people in rock bands have been playing guitar, there seem to have been a Les Paul in there at some time. In fact, it first hit the shops in 1952, so its nearly 50 years old. In 1969, a newer model of the famous guitar was released called the P-100 to replace the ageing P-90. It was an instant hit with guitarist all over the world and famed for its Rocky sound. To recreate the magic of '69, Gibson reissued it in 1999 as a 30th anniversary tribute.
