Advantages: Great sound, relatively cheap, nice design, great starter guitar, also comes in left handed model

Disadvantages: Wont immediately turn you nto hendrix ;)

The Yamaha Pacifica 112 is a great guitar. I brought it as my first electric a year and a half ago and I havn't put it down yet! I love it. First off and straight out of the box this guitar has a great sound and tone. I havn't had to make any adjustments to it yet and the pickups are performing well...(but maybe getting a little tired now :)

There are very few entry level guitars that feel good and look good in your hands. At first I was turned away from the Strat look of this guitar as my first impression was that it was a cheap copy of the expensive fender strats. However that soon changed when I picked it up and played it for the first time. I realised that it wasnt a cheap replica but actually a great sounding and playing guitar, ideal for people just starting or wanting a guitar to practice on and just generally throw about. Mine has taken a fair few knocks over the past year and its stood up well.

My friend has been playing the guitar since he can walk, and while I confess im no expert he certainly is. He currewntly owns (among others) a Gibson Flying V but he still says that he'd love a Pacifica. That to me says a lot about this guitar. Ok maybe the tremolo isnt great, but I cant say ive used it a great deal. Perhaps I will in the future but for the moment its does the job fine.

I havnt had any problems with the guitar slipping out of tune. Once tuned, its gonna stay that way for a good whole week of constant string bashing. I actually havnt experienced any problems with this guitar and I play it a lot. Also the fretboard isnt very wide at all, which is great for smaller hands, and makes it a lot easier to play.

In conclusion this guitar rocks! Its a great starter guitar that will last you a long long time before you decide to make that jump to a more expensive high quality guitar. And then you'll still be playing with it! Great guitar!!

Summary: In conclusion this guitar rocks! Its a great starter guitar that will last you a long long time befo
