Advantages: Beautiful, well built guitar

Disadvantages: price tag

Paul Reed Smith guitars are considered by many to be the greatest built guitars that money can buy for a good reason. With Dragon II pickups and a triple maple top, the tone is beautifully crisp, their fret boards are supple under your fingers and the inlays are works of art. Machineheads, bridge and tremolo arm are all pretty standard and solidly built. Infact the overall build quality of Paul Reed Smith's guitars are superb -having owned one for over 5 years now I'm yet to have any problems with it at all (bar the odd string break!).

A very versatile guitar suitable for all styles of playing such as blues, jazz, rock and death metal. The only problem is the price tag, which unfortunately is incredibly high (around the same as a decent vintage Les Paul) however if you are serious about guitars and guitar playing then it is easily justifiable.

Summary: worth the money
