Advantages: Great sound

Disadvantages: Look dated a bit

Fender are normally thought of for their electric guitars such as the Strat and Telecaster but they also make Basses.
The Precision Bass is a single coil Pick up guitar which you just plug and play.
It has a tone control and Volume obviously but that is it. No switches to select pick ups, no knobs and buttons to select the sound.
Saying that, this guitar has a lovely sound to it for its price.
Its the bottom model of the greeat fender range of basses.
You can get them in 3 formats to.
They are made in 3 different countries and the sound varies accordingly.
The Korean model is the basic model. Its made by Squire for fender and does not have the build quality or sound quality of the better guitars but for £129-£189 you get a nice looking guitar.
Next you move on to Mexico. There is very little difference between these and the top level model. These are badged Fender and are used by a lot of gigging musicians. I own a Mexican Fender Bass but not a Precision but its very similar.Expect to pay £310-£370 for a Mexican Bass.
The top of the range models are the USA models. These ate true fenders built in the American Factory. The price matches though.
Its double the mexican at £700.
So if you want a guitar to suit your pocket, there is one in the Fender bass range to suit you.
They also make a Fretless model.
They come in Wine,Blue,Green,White,Black and Sunburst colours.
