I've always aasked and never got a straight forward what trumprt sounds best

A brass old or a sliver plated one???????

What's the difference i hear you cry, well the straight forward answer is a silver plated one is a couple of hundred pounds dearer!!!!!!
I've played both and currently own an American Silver plated one and this has given me more joy than a plain old standard brass one. the look and feel of a silver trumpet is just beyond belief, just opening my black case gives me great joy!! Taking the shinning silver trumpet out of the case is brillant.
YES you get asked loads of questions about it and so many people want to play it just to see if they can fell the difference.
I have and i can inform that the main difference is the sound of a silver trumpet is actually much calmer and sweeter aswell as being a little bit colder than the plain brass one.
I like to be different when I play with a group and a silver plated trumpet has made that really happen.
All those trumpeters out there get your hands on both and see for yourself???
