... the pickups generate. You dont particularly have to go full power but it's nice to know you can get a real 'growl' out of the bass if you need to. I can play jazz, funk, rock on this bass and find a suitable tone to match any situation. The electronics work on a per pickup volume pot with a further bass/treble pot. There are switches to separate the pole configuration on each pickup also. All in all you have pretty much total control over the tone.

I paid £800 for my Warwick Corvette after a trial down in Denmark Street in London. I have had my eyes on Warwick basses for a long time and had originally tried a thumb bass when I was 18 years old. I didnt get on with it and found the strings felt too 'tight' for my liking. When I found the $$ I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the thumb position is if you play finger style, I rest my thumb on the back edge of the middle pick up and feel that the string tension there is perfect for an attacking yet quick style of play if needed.
