Advantages: will last forever

Disadvantages: You'll never need another guitar

This may not be the best looking guitar in the world, with its' standard, double cut away (a la Fender) design, but it certainly does the job.

I have had by pacifica for ten years now, and I've never had a problem with it. The whole thing is very comfortable to play and versatile enough to play a range of music on it, from the blues of BB King to the rock of Joe Satriani.

When plugged into an amplifier it can certainly hold its' own against the more expensive guitars, pumping out a great sound that's versatile and rich. I personally have been able to play a range of music on it, from the blues of Gary Moore to the electronic sound of Joe Satriani, with a bit of Metallica thrown in for good measure.

This guitar has been so good that I haven't bought another since I've had it, I find it serves more than its' purpose when playing the blues, or thrashing out a duel with a few friends, or even when playing in a band. Great build and sound, a guitar that will last and last. However, on the other hand, it is, at heart, more suited to the learner, as when you progress and inevitably buyer a more expensive guitar, you will notice a difference in the sound and playability quality. Also, I found that the actual look of the guitar was a bit dull and a shape (strat) that has been done to death.

Summary: Great, all round instrument.
