RPH1991 Yamaha Pacifica 112 M MN: ... Yamaha Pacifica 112 is often classed as a beginners guitar due to it simple look and budget price. However, I disagree with this as overall it is a very sturdy guitar which will offer many years of advanced guitar playing if treated well. The pickups on this guitar are 2 single coils, and 1 humbucker. This means that the pickup switch can be adjusted to produce a range of sounds from twangy country, to a dirt...

Caveat-Emptor Yamaha Guitars in general
... My review of Yamaha Guitars (in general) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ Introduction ~~~~~~~~ Most people know the Japanese brand name Yamaha; some folks associate the name with motorbikes, some with pianos, but what I m interested in is of course Yamaha Guitars (unless Yamaha want to combine all 3 items - which would make for a very fast, novel and musical form of transport -lol!). Most guitarists have always lusted after American made instruments like Fender, Gibson or Martin etc. Some English, German and Italian guitars also made it onto the must have list... but in their early days many Japanese guitars were (quite rightly) snee...

benmartin6 Yamaha LL-6
... bought my LL6 a few years ago, mainly because it was relatively cheap for the quality, having a solid wood front (which means it will have better sound quality). I thought the sound would be pretty good. But when i got it i was really surprised at how good it did sound. This has only got better as the guitar seems to have been broken in, after recently putting some new strings on it sounding really good. Even my old guitar teacher who has an expensive custom made one says that it has a great sound. As well it is really easy to play, not having too bad an action, and with some narrow guage strings being really easy Also the pearl design around the sound hole looks reall...

LordYggdrasil Yamaha Pacifica 112 M MN
... was my first guitar, and I can safely say that I would recommend it to anybody starting to play the guitar. It is pretty easy to learn on. It has fret markers, which are dots on certain frets so that you know where you are when playing, making it easier to play tabbed music. The pickups are pretty good on the Yamaha, giving you a clean and crisp sound, there are five different pickup settings that you can use, this basically means that you choose which pickups will "pick-up" the sound more, but for those who haven t played guitar before, you need an amplifier to go with it, or else you might as well get an acoustic guitar. The strings are easy enough to ...
