benmartin6 Yamaha LL-6: ... bought my LL6 a few years ago, mainly because it was relatively cheap for the quality, having a solid wood front (which means it will have better sound quality). I thought the sound would be pretty good. But when i got it i was really surprised at how good it did sound. This has only got better as the guitar seems to have been broken in, after recently putting some new strings on it sounding really good. Even my ol...

LordYggdrasil Yamaha Pacifica 112 M MN
... was my first guitar, and I can safely say that I would recommend it to anybody starting to play the guitar. It is pretty easy to learn on. It has fret markers, which are dots on certain frets so that you know where you are when playing, making it easier to play tabbed music. The pickups are pretty good on the Yamaha, giving you a clean and crisp sound, there are five different pickup settings that you can use, this basically means that you choose which pickups will "pick-up" the sound more, but for those who haven t played guitar before, you need an amplifier to go with it, or else you might as well get an acoustic guitar. The strings are easy enough to ...

... quite simply can t understand the low review score of Yamaha guitars on here, when the likes of Gibson and Fender are getting 5 stars for what they put out at a premium price Yam are being slated. For as many years as I can remember the Yamaha 112 has been voted the best entry level guitar, and I am talking 15 or more years here. For £150 this guitar gives you more value than a Fender at £400. the fret work in these guitars is always spot on, as is the action (straight out of the box). This is the thing with Yamaha, they treat every guitar like it s their flag ship model. They have always had this attitude look back at the SG2000, this guitar in every single departme...

LishAndChips Yamaha Pacifica 012
... a guitar of such moderate price, the Yahama Pacifica is a must for the more casual player. Whilst it is absolutely ideal for playing at home with a decent amp, it is actually pretty cool for gigs too. The pick-up switch, akin to your conventional Fender Stratocasters, provides some pretty cool sounds and can compliment a decent amp really nicely. It has the standard humbucker pick-up for the more growly sounds, but is fairly versatile and some more Telecaster-y sounds can be generated with a pick-up change. One of the nicest things about this guitar (if this is what you prefer), is that it s as light as a feather. I thought i must have ordered the wrong thing whe...
