... like the Yamaha SBG 2000 quite a bit. I have owned one since 1987, though I bought it used and I am not sure of the exact year the guitar was made. It is my main electric guitar. It has a solid body construction and is nice and heavy. It is well-made and has held up very well over the years. The hardware is nice- good tuning pegs & control knobs, nice binding & mother of pearl inlays (I think it is real...). The best thing about this guitar is the action- it is silky smooth to play and has awesome sustain. I am a Les Paul fan personally, and this guitar can hang with it. The Pacifica has the lightest, smoothest neck you are likely to come accross on an electric and its general design and shape will keep you playing for long periods. There are 3 pickups and a combination of 5 different pickup settings. They really do make a difference, so experiment away. Presentation of this guitar is spot on and full marks must go to Yamaha for providing a model that played straight out of the box without the need for re-tuning. Very unusual ! ... have a Yamaha electric guitar and i think its the best guitar i have played and its really good quality. I always play it and i havnt broke a string yet so they must have good quality strings because i play them quite hard as well. They are great for the money and if you are getting started with playing the guitar i recommend a Yamaha guitar definately. They have lots of different guitars made by Yamaha and i really recomend it. A guitar is the best musical instrument for modern day music so i suggest you buy one and make it a Yamaha. ...
