H20+ Natural Spring Conditioner
by Campbell87
When staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge (I have wrote a Dooyoo review if interested), the H20 range where the obligatory hotel toiletries left in our room daily. Those small 37ml bottles are usually ignored by me as I almost always bring my own toilitries with me on holiday. On previous trips, the toiletries left where not of the ... H20 range and had very mixed results.
I rarely use the hotel toiletries but after opening these little cuties and having a sniff, I was curious. I decided that anything that could smell so lovely might not be half-bad. It had such a clean and fresh fragrance, I thought it was worth giving a go for that alone. I had, at the time, just beyond shoulder length hair and the back of the bottle boasted it was lightweight, perfect for my thick hair. It promised to maintain hairs strength, shine and manageability - a task when on holiday!
I went with the shampoo first (I have wrote a Dooyoo review for that too) and followed it with the conditioner. The bottle is quite a hard plastic so it took some persuading to release its contents. I never use much conditioner, and this was no exception, a little really does go a long way with this product. It went through my hair easily and was not clumpy or oily like some conditioners can be. I have easy-greased hair so I always avoid using conditioner on the roots, only the length and tips.
It washed out quickly and nicely and after towel drying, the brush went through around 95% tangle free, a must if using conditioners! I was very impressed so far. After drying my hair I noticed it was extremely soft and manageable, exactly what it had said on the bottle. These things however, can only really be proven after several washes, so I continued using the product extensively throughout our two-week stay.
Conditioner is great to use neat on hair when going swimming as it protects against the chlorine damage so I used this when heading out to the water parks or hotel pool. It kept my hair feeling fresh and tangle free and when it came to rinsing, washed beautifully and seemingly undamaged by the chlorine and Florida sunshine.
Because I was using the conditioner more than the shampoo, I went through around 3 37ml bottles in the two weeks which I thought was quite good.
I did not realize until I got home that this is actually quite an expensive, costing $16 for 250ml, around £10 or so depending on the exchange rate. I would NEVER spend so much on a hair product at home so was very surprised to see it being offered free. Suffice to say, I did bring a few bottles back as it is on sale at the hotel gift shop and at several locations at Downtown Disney. The only shame is that I have yet to find a UK supplier so must have to journey back across the Atlantic to stock up - not that I would mind taking a few more Disney trips! Read the complete review |

H20+ Natural Spring Shampoo
by Campbell87
While holidaying at Walt Disney World in Florida, I stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort (I've wrote a Dooyoo review if your interested). As hotels do, they always leave you little toiletries in the bathroom and the H20 Aquatics range is what is being left around the Disney Resort Hotels. Exactly the same bottle as pictured, ... but with some added Disney magic.
I will admit, I am not one for using hotel toiletries and prefer to bring my own but when I opened them up to have a little sniff, I was intrigued. It smelt so lovely so I thought there was no harm in trying it. The little 37ml bottle was made of a hard plastic so it was not the easiest shampoo to get out, but once I did, all was well. I had, at the time, just below shoulder length hair and it is quite thick so I was overly generous with the shampoo first time around. Turns out, a little seems to go quite a long way with this product and it lathered up quickly and wonderfully. It was not thick and overly creamy so washed out easily - which is what you want, especially when rushing out for another day at the parks. I followed it with the partnering conditioner. I used it after swimming too and it washed the chlorine out with ease.
After drying my hair, I noticed it felt very soft and a little lighter. It had a lovely, lingering clean feeling and smell. By nature, my hair goes greasy very quickly but after using this shampoo for just those two weeks I noticed a dramatic difference. It did seem to dry my hair out slightly but without making it look dull and lifeless. I could not complain. It is fortified with provitimin B that helps to repair damaged hair, another bonus when you are standing under the Florida sunshine for two weeks. The aloe vera gives it a lovely fragrance that is not over powering and very pleasant.
Each 37ml bottle lasted just under a week but that was with excessive washing, more than would be necessary at home. Larger bottles where available in the gift shop and at some shops in the Downtown Disney area. A few definatly came home with me! It is probably one of the loveliest shampoos I have used; it is just a shame I have to cross the Atlantic to stock up! Read the complete review |

H20+ Shave Utilities for Men Transactive Precision Shave Gel
by sympatic
Not sure how well this review is going to work as I'm relying on the other half to provide the user opinion as it is a product that he has used however he is about as articulate as a moth most of the time and I'm not sure that I wll be able to stretch "it's fine" into a half decent review so it will be done in an interview ... style.
So what made you buy the proiduct in the first place?
One of the lads at the gym was using it after a workout and I borrowed his, I liked it and decided to get my own as it is quite small and with no aerosol or pump to go off in error it can take the knocks of being in my bag and I can shave after a gym session.
How would you describe it?
Well it is a foamless shave cream, a bit like the King of Shaves product that I have used before, it is not cheap at £10.99 a tube (interviewer nearly chokes and then recalls own reckless purchases) however it really does provide a smooth shave especially if I have a couple of days growth to contend with.
What about ease of application?
Huh?
Do you need to use a lot?
No a small amount goes a long way which means you do get a fair few shaves out of it.
What about smell?
It has a slight odour but to be honest it is hardly noticeable, a sor of soapy smell, I do find it very calming on my skin and I get no shaver burn or rash when I use it, overall I like the product and it is a shame that it is very pricey.
OK now back to your cleaning chores around the house, have yu done the ironing yet?
No but I will do it after I have mopped the floors.
The last question and answer may not quite be a true reflection of the interview but wishful thinking on behalf of myself. Read the complete review |
