Soap & Glory Glad Hair Day Conditioner
by AbsintheFairy
I have fairly dry hair so always make sure to use conditioner each time I wash it. I have tried a number of different conditioners, and one of those I picked up recently was the Soap & Glory Glad Hair Day conditioner, on a 3 for 2 offer at Boots.
The conditioner matches the rest of the Soap & Glory range, with pink ... packaging. It comes in a tube with a flip-top lid, making it easy to get out. It does look quite similar to the matching shampoo, but if you look closely you can see that the conditioner is creamy coloured (the shampoo is pale pink).
This product is described as an "amazing daily shine conditioner with a fresh fruity fragrance". It really does smell nice, fruity and pleasant, not chemical like some other hair products. It is supposed to help detangle hair and enhance gloss. I was slightly worried as it is described as being suitable for fine to normal hair, but decided to try it anyway.
I've used this conditioner with a variety of shampoos including the matching Soap & Glory product. The instructions state to massage a small amount onto the roots and extend through the lengths and ends of the hair, but I tend to avoid the roots to prevent oiliness and concentrate on the end of my hair. The conditioner goes onto my hair well, with a smaller (10p-sized) piece needed than with, I find, most other conditioners. It doesn't irritate my skin or scalp and it rinses off easily, leaving my wet hair distinctly softer and easier to comb.
After using the product for a while, I am happy with the results. Despite not being designed for my hair type, the conditioner moisturises my hair and makes it look more shiny, as well as helping to detangle it. It seems in good condition and I have no complaints, although if I was nit-picking, I don't think the conditioner is quite as moisturising as I would like. Seeing as it isn't designed for dry hair, however, I don't think it would be fair of me to criticise it for this. The conditioner is gentle on my hair and hasn't affected my colour as far as I can tell. Unfortunately it doesn't leave any scent on my hair, which is a shame as it really is lovely.
After three weeks I am only about halfway down my tube, making the price of £5.50 for 250ml better than it sounds. It is even better when you consider that it is often on offer at Boots.
I definitely recommend this conditioner - it works well, lasts ages and smells lovely. I have no real criticisms to make, so don't feel I can award less than five stars. Read the complete review |

Alberto Balsam Tea Tree Tingle Herbal Conditioner
by brady58
I love the Alberto Balsam range of shampoos and conditioners and we usually use them in our house as our daily ones as they offer such good value for money compared to a lot of leading brands. The kids and I all have our favourites with mine being the strawberry and my daughter loving the juicy green apples. My sons favourite is the tea ... tree tingle and as both my daughter and I like it too we buy it so he doesn't feel left out on the decisions in the house.
The tea tree conditioner is a lovely light mint colour and I can definitely see why my son prefers this one as it is much less girly smelling than the strawberry one. Tea tree isn't my favourite smell but this is fresh and subtle enough that I actually quite like it. It keeps my hair smelling fresh for the whole day with its fragrance.
As a conditioner it is really good for the money. It isn't something that I would buy as an intensive treatment but for a daily conditioner it works well. I buy conditioning treatments to ensure my hair stays in good condition and this helps keep it looking good and feeling soft in between treatments.
It isn't as thick as some conditioners but it is easy to spread through my hair and once I wash it off after it having been on for a couple of minutes my hair is left feeling nice and soft and I find it easy to comb it through with no tangles or tugs. When I blow my hair dry it is left soft and manageable and has a nice shine to it.
The tea tree one may not be my favourite smell but it is certainly one of the better daily conditioners when it comes to how my scalp feels as this really soothes it and if my scalp is feeling a little itchy then this really helps to calm it down and take away the itch.
I can pick this up for around about 80p and I think that for that money it really is excellent and one that I would recommend to others. It leaves hair soft and manageable and is ideal for everyday use for the whole family and it certainly doesn't look or feel like something that is so cheap. Read the complete review |

Boots Coconut & Almond Leave-in Conditioner
by thriftygiftyisme
=Boots Coconut & Almond Leave-in Conditioner=
The Coconut and Almond Leave in Conditioner is from Boots own brand range, and is available both is store on line.
=Size and Price=
A 150ml bottle is priced around £1.39
=The bottle=
This is a plastic clear bottle and this has a pump ... dispenser to use for the release of the conditioner and this is covered with a clear plastic top.
=The conditioner=
This is white in colour, it reminds me of the inner of a coconut, with a mix of the juice.
=To Use=
Once you have used shampoo and your hair is towel dry, you spray the conditioner from the root of your hair, to the tips. When you spray a fine even mist comes from the dispenser. It's a fine mist and is quite controlled in terms of the range of the spray.
=Once Sprayed=
You get a faint smell of the coconut, but this is not over powering, once you have sprayed through, leave a minute then style as normal.
=Extracts=
As well as the coconut there is extracts of Almond. The conditioner is designed for normal to dry hair.
=Styling=
I find my hair is easy to style once I have brushed it, it doesn't feel rough, just nice and smooth. I use it as well in my daughters hair, as she has long hair half way down her back and there are times when she needs a little extra help with her hair. Especially when we are on holiday and she is in and out of the pool, the chlorine dries her hair out, and this gives it some stability and ease of use back.
=Long Lasting=
The bottle is really long lasting, as you don't need to use it every day, and when you do, I find that a little goes a long way.
=All Ages=
I think that this is suitable for all ages, and occasions, from going swimming then trying to shampoo your hair under the showers at the swimming baths, when you are on holiday and need that extra bit of help, through to when you don't feel well and don't have time or the energy to condition your hair under the shower.
=Would I recommend=
I would highly recommend these conditioner.
