Natural Classic Henna Treatment Wax Hair Conditioner
by xxsupergirlxo When I first bought this product, I was going in blind. It was a monday afternoon; I was in town, desperately needing a deep conditioning treatment, and I couldn't have been less bothered to look for one. I was passing bodycare, and although my experiences in that shop have not always been pleasant in the past, I decided to go in and ... find the cheapest conditioner possible. Hurrah! On the bottom shelf was a big white tub with browny-black writing on - Natural classic Henna treatment wax! At first I wasn't sure - I've used henna in the past so assumed it would be a hair colouring conditioner. But upon second glance of the description on the tub, it said it would not colour my hair. Not willing to stick around for much longer, I paid the 99p (absolute bargain!!!) and let my weary feet drag me home. My hair is less than conditioned - I am a massive fan of sun in, and although I am only 17, have dyed my hair about 10 times in the past; colours ranging from red to blonde to purple... At the moment I have been using the strongest sun in - my hair is now literally like straw. Dry, frazzled from over use of straighteners, and generally a bit unloved. You don't have to wet your hair before you put this conditioner on - just slather it all over your hair. I started at the ends of my hair and applied upwards; this is probably the best way as it stops your scalp getting greasy so quickly. On the tub it says to leave your hair at least 30 minutes, wrapped in a warm towel or whilst you are sitting in a hot, steamy bath. Now, considering I had a driving lesson in about an hour, I didn't have time to faff on like that, so I left the treatment on for half an hour, just up in a bun. In an ideal world I would have followed the instructions, but time was not on my side that day. Before I knew it, the 30 minutes was up, and I rinsed the conditioner out. Now, I'm not sure if I did this correctly, but I then washed my hair with shampoo. My hair was needing a wash anyway; but I think it's probably better not to shampoo the treatment out afterwards, if you want better results. Immediately I noticed that my hair was softer and more manageable; not its usual tangled self. The treatment also had a lovely light, slightly flowery-but-by-no-means-chemically aroma, which lasted until I next washed my hair. Post-driving lesson, my hair was finally dry. I take this as a sign of conditioned hair - my friends' (who have never colour treated or fried their hair like I have) hair usually takes much longer to dry than mine. My hair was noticably shinier and healthier looking, as well as smelling great and being tangle-free. I am sure you don't think that something that costs 99p from bodycare would be such a savious, but believe it or not, it has been fabulous. I have used it three times now, each time my hair increases in shine and looking healthy. The tub is 480 grams - this is sure to last a while; my usage has barely removed any of the conditioner. In conclusion - at 99p and judging from how helpful it has been to my hair, I will definitely buy this product again. It is a no-regret buy; your hair will love you for it, particularly if it is heavily colour treated or bleached. However, if you have naturally greasy hair be careful as it is a very strong conditioning treatment and could induce a greasy scalp. Ps if you live near to a bodycare, don't buy it from amazon as it is a further £1 more expensive to buy off amazon, not including p&p. Read the complete review |

Natural Classic Henna Treatment Wax Hair Conditioner
by Chloeyeahk After ruining my hair with various hair dyes I consulted my hairdresser about which products I should use to get my hair back to its natural and healthy state and she recommended this conditioner. At the time it was much cheaper than £2.99 as it was on offer so that was also a win! My hair went from dry, brittle and unhealthy ... to soft, sleek and shiny in a matter of days, in which I was impressed with as other conditioners take a while to do what they say! The conditioner comes in a very large tub so it is great value for money as well as amazing quality. The only downside is that I thought it was going to smell really nice but instead just plain and although that doesnt matter to me, to other people it will as you want nice smelling hair! However, this is definitley worth buying to relift dry damaged hair. Read the complete review |

Natural Classic Henna Treatment Wax Hair Conditioner
by xjemloux When I used to do Hairdressing in college many moons ago we used to style and colour our hairs like there was no tomorrow this of course leading to drained and damaged hair. Our tutors regularly offered free Henna Wax treatments though to treat and nourish our hair and scalps and try and regain some life into them. Although I ... don't do hairdressing anymore I still use straighteners, hairdyrers, brushes and hairdyes which all in turn do great damage to my locks so I have tried to keep treating my hair by buying my own Henna Wax treatments. I was always buying Superdrugs Henna Wax tubs but I went off it unfortunately as it was just a little too floral for me and didn't quite smell the same as the Henna I was used to in college. Browsing at the hair products in Bodycare the other day though a black and white tub caught my eye, Natural Classic Henna, Treatment Wax - Hair Conditioner. Perfect I thought so picked up a 480gm tub and paid just 99p for it! I've noticed you can actually buy this on amazon too but it costs a whopping £4.99 - so definitely shop around for it or head to Bodycare! The colours may not sound all that appealing but the bold black writing on a pure white background is very prominent and eyecatching so whether you knew what this was or not you'd be very tempted to have a look. The tub it comes in is a thick, plastic, tall tub with a pull off lid. The lid is put on securely though and you do have to pull the tab provided to loosen it. We are clearly told on the front of the tub that this is Natural Classic Henna Treatment Wax. It also says Original Formula Hair Conditioner as well as informing us it will not colour hair. The back of the tub gives us a little insight into Henna wax explaining to us that Henna Treatment Wax is a formula made from the finest ingredients, extracted from Henna (Lawsonia) making it an excellent ingredient for deep penetrating hair conditioners. We are also told that Natrual Classic Henna Treatment Wax is suitable for all hairtypes, especially hair that is damaged from bleaching. This is vital information as there is nothing worse than ruining your hair with a product. So there is no need to worry if you have coloured, permed, plaited, short, long, damaged or even untouched and healthy hair this is brilliant to use even if it just for a quick boost. There are clear and precise instructions on how to use the conditioner but to be honest you may only need to read this once as it is perfectly simple and easy to apply and in time you will have your own preference, habits and routine as to how you use the conditioner. The tub tells us to rinse hair thoroughly and using your fingers massage the conditioner thoroughly through your hair and scalp. You are then told to cover your hair with a damp hot towel for 15 to 30 minutes depending on the condition of your hair or apply before taking a hot bath as the steam will activate the reconditioning process. Once time is up rinse thoroughly in warm water and style hair as required. When in college we followed this routine but without the damp, hot towel and without the steam yet the 'reconditioning' process still worked therefore I have continued with my own routine and habits and feel it is still an excellent product. The conditioner itself is a thick, creamy coloured, almost pale purple in colour substance. It feels very cold on your fingers and after using it it does leave a little greasy feeling to my hands. Nothing that can't be solved by a quick wash of my hands though and the smell it leaves is truly stunning. It does have a floral scent, but compared to the other conditioner I was using it's not as intense and flowery, it's more fresh and invigorating, an intense clean and feminine scent that is extremely refreshing, awakening, energising and beautiful. As it flows up my nose I can smell the difference it's going to make already without it even touching my hair. Not even knowing the exact ingredients or exactly how the product works its magic the smell definitely portrays what it intends to do and thats revitalise, rejuvenate and leave a fantastic fragrance too! The roots of my hair tend to be the healthiest as it is the area that the colour grows out of first leaving me with my natural hair at my scalp so when I apply the conditioner I begin at the ends. I ensure I cover every strand of my hair and finger the conditioner gradually through my locks. It feels sumptously soft as I smooth it over my hair and the cooling sensation freshens up my scalp as the stunning scent flows all around me. It's a salubrious experience that's for sure, relaxing yet exhilarating at the same time. Once I've finished applying the conditioner to the ends of my hair I use my finger tips and massage my scalp thoroughly really working the conditioner into all of my hair and my scalp. It's soft and smooth and glides easily and a little really goes a long way. My hair and scalp immediately feels uplifted and healthful when the conditioner is applied. I leave my hair as is or bunch it up and lay it on my head for around half an hour, some days it will be longer. The smell remains strong and intense and I can feel the conditioner really purifying and stimulating my hair and scalp. Although a thick conditioner it is very easy to rinse out of my hair, it washes out the way any other conditioner would and my fingers just slide smoothly down my hair. It feels beautifully soft and restored as I wash the conditioner out it's a lovely feeling as there is nothing worse than getting my fingers caught in knots or my hair feeling coarse and damaged. Once my hair is rinsed out thoroughly and dry my hair feels stunningly soft, smooth and looks beautifully shiny and healthy. My hair feels stronger and doesn't seem to snap as easily when brushing it. It flows with energy and bounces with life. It looks, as well as feels revived and so clean and fresh it's as if I have completely new hair on my head. It doesn't make it greasy, which can be quite surprising when you're not used to using this type of product instead my hair and scalp feels light, refreshed and full of life. The beautiful scent that is there to begin with remains on your hair once dry too and I'm forever catching a whiff when I turn and my hair sways smoothly. This product is absolutely fantastic in my opinion it really hydrates my hair and scalp and leaves me with lustrous locks with a healthy shine. I'm hoping Santa gives me a few tubs for Christmas if I'm a good girl! I'd recommend this to absolutely anybody, whether you have damaged hair or not it can really give you a boost as well as provide you with a perfect pamper session. The smell is stunning and although floral it's not too flowery and poncy. When using it it provides an intense feeling for your hair and scalp which isn't given with your typical shampoo or conditioner nor do they provide these results either. Having coloured hair myself I was glad the tub informed me that it doesn't colour hair and it was quite right to claim this too. I've used this many times now and it doesn't rid me of my colour, like some products can, nor does it change my colour either. If you find you suffer alot from tangles and knots in your hair or you have extremely thick hair that can sometimes be unmanageable this would be a brilliant product to use it would soften and tame your hair allowing for a little bit of control when styling your hair. As it is an intense treatment for my hair I tend to use it once a week and one tub provides me with at least 30 or 40 washes and I have shoulder length hair. A little really does go along way especially when you massage it into your hair and scalp. For 99p you definitely need to try this whether it be for your damaged hair or if you just fancy a relaxing, pamper session to yourself. Read the complete review |
