Wash & Go Universal 2 in 1
by trayrope My Mother-In -Law has what my Husband and I refer to as an end of the world store, this is based in a cupboard/closet just off her bathroom. Inside is shelf upon shelf of tins, coffee, teabags, toilet rolls, shampoo, pickles, whisky etc that she is stocking up with just in case the Mayan's have got it right. She will be the only woman in ... existence with a ten years supply of toilet rolls and enough coffee and shampoo to ensure plenty of fresh starts in the morning. Last weekend she was having a bit of a clear out and was throwing bits and bobs in a bag for me to take back home, one of the toiletries that she threw in was this bottle of Wash & Go Universal 2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner for normal hair. Immediately my Husband seized the bottle and declared this was for him as he was sick of coming out of the shower smelling like a flower shop. Suitably intrigued I decided to wash my hair in it the first chance I got. The bottle is not the same as the one shown in the Dooyoo catalogue so a short description will follow. The bottle is Lime green with a blue flip up cap, the bottle is mostly rectangular but sort of twists as it reaches the cap, I would not class this as a manly bottle, it is unisex. A quick check tells me that the bottle can be stood on its lid to get the last bits out, so that is good. The front of the bottle is not packed with marketing gabble it just says "Wash & Go Universal 2in1 Shampoo & Conditioner for normal hair". The back of the bottle has a scarily long list of ingredients, directions for use, manufacturer contact details and a recycling symbol, all good. Maybe this is marketed at men? There is a small amount of marketing declaring "great hair" "no fuss" "for all hair types" The product smells clean and soapy, a bit similar to Dove. The colour is a pearlescent light turquoise, it looks refreshing. I used a blob about the size of an old fifty pence, lathered up and then rinsed, my hair smelt fresh and felt clean, the majority of the knots were removed, I towel dried my hair, brushed it and left it to dry naturally, it looked a bit fuzzy but felt soft with no product residue. I think I would only use this if I was having a lazy day and were tying my hair back or not going out. The bottle is 300ml so I can see it lasting my family around four weeks with occasional use, we have a lot of 2in1's and shampoo's and conditioners on the bathroom shelf. I personally would not buy this again but I am happy to use it as it was a freebie. My husband thought it was great as he considered it a more masculine option when in the shower, and he said his hair felt clean and soft. A sniff of his hair the next day confirmed that Wash & Go does have a lasting scent, and when subjected to a hair ruffle his hair still felt nice and soft, what more could a lady ask for. If you are not as lucky as me and you don't have a handy end of the world store in your Mother-In-Laws closet and have to buy a bottle it will set you back around £1.69 from most good retailers. Thank you for reading. Read the complete review |

Wash & Go Universal 2 in 1
by Donf18 Intro I will firstly start with a bit of an apology, for as I see it a shampoo is a shampoo. It washes your hair and if you buy one with a conditioner then it is supposed to condition after the wash and rinse cycle is done. At the end of the day I just want clean hair what little there is of it, and if possible perhaps a ... little bit of a sheen afterwards. Wash and go At around £1.70 for the reasonably sized 300ml plastic green bottle of shampoo you are not going to be expecting anything special, but I'm left thinking why not. Most of the way expensive brands are simply overcharging because of the Brand Name. If it washes your hair, laves it clean and shiny then job done. The green packaging is average and not exactly eye catching. It has a kind of swivel top which when pressed one way allows the release of the light green thickish liquid. It is certainly not the thickest of shampoos, but it does have quite a fresh clean and pleasant smell associated with it. I always think wrongly of rightly that if it lathers well it's doing its job, and to this end Wash and Go has to be counted as a success, for it does indeed lather very well. I'm often left wondering though why a green liquid or in fact pretty much most coloured shampoos always give you a white lather...................how's that work then. All solutions in my GB. I never let my little hair get very dirty anyway since it is showered daily and according to some recent writings this isn't a good idea either, so now our Christmas hols are to be called Winter Break, we can't wash our hair too often, we can't sing Baa Baa Black sheep and all manor of other stuff we are no longer to partake off, and too boot my green shampoo gives me a white blinking lather, what's it all coming too. Since my hair is very short washing it doesn't take a lot of shampoo, and as I have already said a lot isn't need here since it lathers very well, it feels soft and smooth and feels also as if it's doing a good job, but then if it wasn't I wouldn't know until my hair was dry anyway. Having such a good lather I was expecting rinsing to be more difficult, but it was pretty much as normal with no problems. Summary Having not paid out a fortune and having gotten clean fresh smelling hair, I have no complaints at all. Wash and Go works well my hair felt soft as if it had indeed been conditioned, and I have a hint of a very pleasant smell coming forth from my napper. Read the complete review |

Wash & Go Universal 2 in 1
by xd-o-n-z-x I'm not that fussy when it comes to shampoo. Whilst a couple of years back, I liked to constantly indulge in 'Tresemme' shampoo, I soon went off the idea of spending around £4 per bottle of shampoo - and so now I just use whatever's in the bathroom. The other day, I came across this 'Wash and Go' 2-in-1 shampoo and decided to ... give it a go. It cost around £1 which I think is great value for money, especially when compared to said products which can cost £4 or more. The shampoo itself is a green colour and is quite creamy looking. Whilst its not as thick as some expensive hair shampoos, it isn't that runny either and so I would say that it is 'in the middle'. Obviously everyone knows how to use shampoo right? Well this shampoo is no different - simply wet hair, lather and rinse. The shampoo is very easy to use and I find that it lathers really well. It makes quite a rich lather and has a very fresh smell. The shampoo has a smell which reminds me of men's aftershave and so for some reason I feel like I have run out of my own shampoo and am 'borrowing' this 'man' shampoo! Quite strange really....I still use it though...and for the record...it isn't a man's shampoo! One thing which I love about this shampoo is the fact that my hair stays really 'clean' and 'fresh' even the day after. It also smells really nice - it's not often that a shampoo makes my hair smell nice - I don't know why. This shampoo gives my hair some 'oomph' without making it uncontrollable which is an added bonus. I have 'does-what-it-likes' hair, and yet this shampoo manages to control my hair whilst at the time giving it some volume. Normally, if for example I'll wash my hair tonight, it will be ok tomorrow, but come tomorrow afternoon it was start to get greasy. However, with this shampoo, it lasts grease-free for longer and smells fresh for longer! It's great! This product is great for me, because whilst I do like to condition my hair, I only get the opportunity to do so every other month or so as I just find it so time consuming - and most of the time, I am washing my hair because I have to 'rush off' somewhere, whether it be work or college, and this product means that I can shampoo and condition my hair all in one go which saves time. I think that this shampoo is excellent value for money and works really well too - better than some 'branded' shampoos, and so I would definitely recommend it! Thanks for reading!
