Price / Why did I buy it?
Alberto balsam shampoos retail for £1 a bottle in most chemists and supermarkets and are frequently included in deals which make them even cheaper. For a 400ml bottle of shampoo this is a great price. It is for this reason that, despite being very disappointed with their raspberry shampoo, I thought I would give this one a try.
The raspberry version of this shampoo left my hair feeling very dry and brittle. This one however specifically stated that it was for coloured or damaged hair. My hair isn't particularly damaged but is very thick and frizzy so usually the shampoos for damaged hair make it more manageable. According to the bottle this product contains ginseng and blueberry extracts which provide extra nourishment.
Packaging and appearance:
The shampoo comes in a tall transparent bottle with an attractive label and a black flip top lid. Unlike many other shampoos it does not stand on its lid but is the traditional upright design. The shampoo itself is a bright blue colour. On the one hand this is eye catching and makes you expect a very fruity blueberry blast but on the hand it looks completely unnatural!
Does it work?
The shampoo comes out very easily and has a rather thin, slightly gel like consistency. The usual size blob of product results in a good amount of lather and the shampoo leaves my hair feeling clean and fresh. So yes, it works and it didn't leave my hair feeling as dry as the raspberry version. However, the smell of this shampoo is rather off putting. It is almost fruity but not quite! Rather than smelling like blueberries it smells of chemicals. The fragrance doesn't linger on your hair for too long but but it would put me off buying this product again.
This is a good value product which does the job but the fragrance is not pleasant. I would not recommend without doing a sniff test first!
I have tried a most of the Alberto Balsam shampoos and conditioners range and have found that each product in the range has slight differences.
The Blueberry with Gingeng extract is specially designed to provide extra nourishment for coloured and damaged hair. As I have waist length hair which I style daily my hair can often feel damaged, to this was ideal for me.
The shampoo has a thick consistancy which means it doesn't fall between your fingers and an excessive quantity is not needed so it lasts longer. It also lathers well and leaves your hair feeling more nourished and smelling of blueberries all day.
The packaging is a frosted bottle which allows you to see how much is left in the bottle at a glance (particularly useful when trying to decide if you need to get more). The shampoo itself is blue and this can be seen through the bottle.
Alberto Balsam also have a conditioner which compliments this product.
The range of shampoo and conditioners are regularly on offer in supermarkets as a multibuy or at £1 a bottle.
I'm currently using the Alberto Balsam 'Blueberry' Shampoo & Conditioner. I'm not brand loyal when it comes to shampoos & conditioners, I'm happy to use whichever products happen to be on offer or seem to be the best value.
The Alberto Balsam range of shampoos & conditioners are available in most supermarkets, Boots, Superdrug, Poundland etc, and they normally retail at just £1 each. I picked these up from Tesco, where they're currently on a '2 for £1.80' offer.
The Blueberry shampoo comes in a 400ml bottle. It's quite a thick and gloopy shampoo, and its a fab bright blue colour. It states that it contains blueberry and ginseng extracts, and that it gives extra nourishment for coloured or damaged hair. I always colour my hair, so this seemed perfect for me.
As with all shampoos the directions for use are; ''wet hair, use a good size dollop of shampoo, lather, then rinse thoroughly, have you also tried our Blueberry conditioner? works a treat''.
I don't find that I need to use 'a good size dollop' of this shampoo, I find that just a small amount of this works adequately. I do always follow this with the matching Blueberry conditioner, and I do use a HUGE dollop of the conditioner, I always get through two bottles of conditioner to every one bottle of shampoo.
I find that this shampoo lathers up well on my hair in the shower, and that I don't need to use a lot of it to create a rich and foamy lather. It rinses out well and it leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean in the shower, before then following it with the matching conditioner. Once my hair is dry it definitely feels and looks very healthy and clean, and it is lovely and soft and shiny after using this along with the matching conditioner. I normally wash my hair around 3 times a week and this has stayed the same whilst using this shampoo, so it hasn't caused my hair to go greasy or to need washing any sooner. I also find my hair to be just as easy to style whilst using this shampoo.
Although this shampoo works well enough I do find that the fragrance is very offputting, it's quite a chemically fragrance, and it certainly doesn't smell like blueberries. I actually bought it along with my food shopping online, and so I didn't sniff it instore, had I done so I probably wouldn't have added it to my trolley. Fortunately the fragrance doesn't linger in my hair for very long, it does linger long enough to put me off buying it again though.
So, although this does work well, and it is very good value, I wouldn't repurchase as I really don't like the fragrance.
I picked this 400ml bottle of shampoo up in my local Morrison supermarket as while ago when it was on offer 3 for £3. The shampoo comes in a tall plastic bottle, with a flip top lid that is easy to use, dispenses the product well and does not leak.
The shampoo is designed for coloured or damaged hair and is infused with blueberry and ginseng that are supposed to provide your hair with nourishment, added shine and strength. In addition it is designed to restore the vitality of your hair, using pro vitamin B5. In addition it also helps to cleans and revitalise your hair as it contains antioxidants.
The shampoo is blue in colour, and quite thin in consistency, but it cleanses well and leaves my hair feeling clean and refreshed, I find that although you do not need much the dispensing nozzle is quiet wide so a lot of shampoo will come out if you are not careful. Too much and you end up with loads of lather, though it does rinse out easily. The smell of the shampoo is very strong, I can detect lots of blueberry and I find this to be very pleasant, the scent lingers for ages my hair smell great for hours. My hair is very dry and after use I find it to be manageable and a bit shiner than usual.
The ingredients are as follows:
Aqua (Water, Eau),Sodium Laureth Sulfate ,Sodium Chloride ,Cocamide MEA ,Cocamidopropyl Betaine ,Glycerin ,Parfum (Fragrance) ,Tetrasodium EDTA ,Polyquatermium-7 ,Citric Acid ,Amyl Cinnamal ,Panthenol ,Propylene Glycol ,Polyquaternium-39 ,Vaccinium Angustifolia (Blueberry) Fruit Extract ,Panax Ginseng Root Extract ,Methylchloroisothiazolinone ,Methylisothiazolinone ,Cl 60730 (ext. Violet 2) ,Cl 42090 (Blue 1) ,Benzophenone-4 ,Triethanolamine ,Hexylene Glycol
Overall I would recommend this to others who like fruity smelling shampoo, it cleans well, smells great, adds shine and is very well priced.
I quite like fruity shampoos and so love the Alberto Balsam range as they have lots of different flavours. One of the most recent flavours I have tried is the Blueberry Shampoo.
The shampoo is a purple-y / blue colour. It comes in a plastic see-through bottle with a lift up lid. The see-through bottle is good as it means that you can see how much shampoo you have left in the bottle.
I love this shampoo as it makes my hair look really shiny and makes it feel so soft. It also makes my hair smell lovely and fruity and fresh. My hair also feels smooth and is very manageable after which is great as I have 'silly hair' which likes to do it's own thing.
The shampoo is very easy to use. First of all, wet your hair and then apply a small amount of shampoo. I find that a 10p pence is good enough for me; I have shoulder length hair. Massage the shampoo into the hair and then leave for a couple of minutes. Then rinse out. If I have time, I like to leave the shampoo in my hair for around five to ten minutes as that's when I feel the benefit most; my hair is left shinier and softer compared to when I only leave it in a minute or so.
I do have a sensitive scalp and find that some shampoos make my head sore; not this one. So I would say that this is suitable for people with sensitive skin.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this shampoo.
Thanks for reading!

An unwanted freebie?
I was given both the shampoo and conditioner in this range by someone who hadn't got on with them, which was perhaps a sign - but of course I had to give them both a try first! The Alberto Balsam range of shampoos and conditioners are famously cheap, retailing at £1 for a 400ml bottle - and they are frequently on a 4 for 3 offer in supermarkets.
Now I am all for cheap and cheerful products, but shampoos and conditioners are one area where I must admit I do find the cheapest brands don't tend to work for me. I have naturally curly hair which can tend to get dry and frizzy, and I do find that the really cheap products dry out my hair and really don't do it any favours. And I have had mixed feelings about the Alberto Balsam products I have tried out in the past.
A fruity flop
This shampoo is, as you can see in the bottle, a deep blue shade. The texture is quite thick and it has a gel-like texture. However it's the fragrance that I had a bit of a problem with. I usually love fruity fragrances, but there is something that I found to be a bit sickly about this. I found it quite cloying and unpleasant, which did surprise me as I don't usually have this problem with anything that is fruit-scented.
In terms of the shampoo, I found it fairly average. It lathered up quite well and when it washed away my hair did feel clean, but it did feel a bit dry. I always condition after washing my hair, but with this shampoo I felt that my hair was crying out for it!
I feel a bit mean for giving this shampoo two stars as I am sure it would work really well for other people. But for me personally, it did nothing at all for me. I really didn't like the scent, and it also left my hair feeling a bit dry and unhappy. So this shampoo has been passed by me onto my nieces who both have nice easy hair to manage - unlike mine!
*~*~ Why I brought it ~*~*
I am currently trying really hard to save a bit of money on the weekly shopping bill, with Christmas on the horizon and the lack of a pay rise each year my pennies have to stretch a little further.
Lurking on the reduced shelf in my local Tesco I found a 400ml bottle of Alberto Balsam Anti-Oxidant Blueberry Shampoo and its matching Conditioner for 50p each, I popped them immediately in my basket as it is a brand I have used before with reasonable results and 50p a bottle is the cheapest I had ever found it.
*~*~ A bit about it ~*~*
The shampoo is aimed at coloured or damaged hair, my hair is not coloured but with the turn to cooler weather I feel it could do with a little extra nourishment each day.
The bottle is the standard Alberto Balsam bottle, which annoyingly is not pictured in the DooYoo catalogue. It is quite a slim bottle made of clear frosted plastic with a black plastic flip top; therefore the contents are easily viewable. On the front of the bottle is a scrummy looking picture of Blueberry's. The bottle tells me that the shampoo contains Blueberry and Ginseng extract and that my hair will smell as good as it feels.
*~*~ Top notch, or money down the drain? ~*~*
The shampoo is used in the usual way, wet hair, squirt a blob of shampoo into hand, apply hands to head and massage into a lather and then rinse. Follow with Conditioner if you so desire.
The shampoo is quite runny so I regularly end up with quite a large blob of the vivid blue Shampoo. The fragrance is very strong and smells fruity; I would not say it smells specifically of Blueberries but it does smell nice. The Shampoo foams up really well and rinses cleanly from my hair, leaving me with a fruity smelling mop of hair and bathroom.
For the purpose of this review I did not follow with Conditioner, when I towel dried my hair it went a little bit knotty but was soon straightened out with a gentle brushing. I left my hair to dry naturally as I did not desire a head full of static due to not using Conditioner.
My hair has dried up ok; I would not class it as amazing. It is clean and a bit frizzy and I can no longer detect the scent of the Shampoo.
*~*~ Final thoughts ~*~*
A 400ml bottle is good value at the rrp of a £1 so for 50p a bottle I find it a little hard to pick fault. The Shampoo does the job it is supposed to, it leaves my hair looking and feeling clean but lacking in any lasting scent although it does smell nice when in use.
I would buy it again on offer but would leave it on the shelf at its full price; it is just lacking in that certain something that makes my hair happy.
Thank you for reading.
Alberto Balsam I find is one of those brands that has reasonable looking packaging, does a fair job of what it's supossed to do and is suprisingly cheap. For £1 I purchased a 400ml bottle of Alberto Balsam's anti-oxidant blueberry shampoo. It doesn't actually give me a lot of information on the back of the bottle about the anti-oxidant properties of this shampoo, and what that means for the condition of my hair upon using it, but I suppose as natural blueberries are an anti-oxidant and fight off free radical nasties floating around in our bodies, I guess it will add to the health of my hair.
The slightly opaque bottle lets you see the vivid blue contents of the bottle and the cap is a flip top black one. The photo of real bluberries on the front of the bottle do make you think some natural blueberry must be in it somewhere, even for the cheap price, and yes, there is blueberry fruit extract labelled on the ingredients. Additionally, ginseng extract is also mentioned on the front of the bottle, and I assume the ginseng is added to give your hair a bit of pep and life.
Now, when you flip the lid and have a good sniff of the contents, I wouldn't say that I get an authentic blueberry smell. I am getting a distinctive sweet berry-ish smell which is very pleasant and inviting. Using an amount of shampoo, say twice the size of the cap, I can get a good lather through my hair and a decent clean feeling. Once my hair is dry I don't think the berry smell particularly lasts. The shampoo states that it is extra nourishment for coloured or damaged hair, and mine is to be fair a bit of both. My hair does feel softer and nourished after use, although not particularly shiny, but it didn't claim to promise that anyway.
On the whole, Alberto Balsam is a well known brand and the yummy smelling shampoo that cleans your hair can't be sniffed at for the value price.
I love a bargain and I also love clean hair so I was very happy to see that my favourite range of shampoos by Alberto Balsam was on special offer in Morrison's. My husband is a big fan of the Mint and Tea Tree variety so I grabbed a couple of those for him and an Anti-oxidant Blueberry shampoo for me to try as had been impressed with the conditioner of the same variety.
One of the main reasons I like this range is that it is very affordable without being a cheap product! It comes in a simple frosted plastic bottle which is slightly squeezy and is topped with a black flip up lid. On the front it boasts a black and silver label showing a photo of juicy ripe blueberries and it claims that it contains blueberry and ginseng extracts which give extra nourishment for coloured or damaged hair. This is just what I need as I have rough, frizzy dry hair which I frequently colour. On the reverse of the 400ml bottle it explains that this shampoo deeply conditions and revitalises and replenishes lost moisture and adds shine. It also strengthens with pro-vitamin B5 .
Much of the rest of my bottle is taken up with a special offer of Great Days Out! which might be of interest to you but as Ilive in Spain I skipped this bit.
You apply the shampoo in the normal way to wet hair and this is the really enjoyable bit as the rather lurid blue gel really smells great, fruity and sharp, just like blueberries! The shampoo froths up really easily and I give my hair a really good wash and then rinse out. My hair always feels really clean and the great smell lasts a couple of days to the next wash particularly if combined with the matching conditioner.
A sweet and simple shampoo which does not claim to change your life. I have paid a lot more for the same results and consider that at 1.00pound for 400ml I have got a bargain for clean, soft and shiny hair! I can recommend that you try this range made by Unilever.
5 stars from me.
Thanks for reading my review which may also be posted on Ciao under splishsplash
I tend to buy the Alberto brand when I see them on the 4 for £3 offer they often go on, this is my back up shampoo when I forget to buy some or whilst waiting for something decent to go on offer. I like to use a good range of shampoos and conditioners as I do find after a few weeks of the same ones my hair seems to get used to them and they are not as effective.
The range caters for all hair types and there are many different fragrances many of which I have tried, this particular one is for coloured and damaged hair.
The shampoo comes in a plastic frosted style bottle with a black flip top lid which is easy enough to open once you have used it a few times. On the front of the bottle is a picture of loads of little blueberries and states that it gives coloured and damaged hair extra nourishment. On the back of the bottle are the directions for use and a list of ingredients along with the statement that " blueberry the superfruit packed full of anti-oxidants is now great for your hair too.
The shampoos inside the bottle is bright blue in colour just like blueberries, the smell when you open the bottle is quite nice and the shampoo inside is of a thick consistency. To use the shampoo you simply wet your hair and then lather the product on your hair just like you would any other shampoo. The shampoo lathers really easily and then when you rinse it out it does so easily too.
After using this shampoo I can't say I was impressed, the smell of the shampoo lingers and although it smells quite nice in the bottle it reminds me of cat pee when on my hair. My hair was soft but I didn't feel that this shampoo made my hair feel any nicer than any other shampoo so I only rate it 3 stars from 5.
I buy this brand on a regular basis because they are nice and cheap. There are quite a few fragrances of the range and they work well to clean my hair. I do like a good quality shampoo to give a good lather and this range always delivers for my hair. Alberto Balsam is a good well known brand and deliver good quality products.
The shampoo comes in a transparent plastic bottle which has a flip back lid. The bottle is also slim line, so very easy to hold in the hands to pour the shampoo onto the hands. It has a sturdy base so it doesn't tip over in the shower. There is a picture of Blueberries on the label on the bottle. The hole at the top of the bottle allows the shampoo to flow from the bottle, so you don't need to squeeze this one so much as some other brands. Just a gentle squeeze is all that is needed. When the last of the shampoo is at the bottom of the bottle, I just give it a good shake, the shampoo then is much easier to flow, so no wastage. It also doesn't drip from the bottle and make a mess all over the shower tray. I don't like messy shampoos because it means more cleaning of the shower and I much prefer one that helps cleaning much easier.
It is a nice blue colour, it has a rich consistency which is has a smooth, soft texture. In my opinion it has a nice fruity smell with an added perfume fragrance. I think the perfume addition works really well with this shampoo. I do like a fruity smell but I think the extra smell makes for a better one on the hair. It is a nice pleasant fragrance and one I like a lot. I can only detect a small amount of Blueberries but the blend of the fruit and the perfume really give for a nice smell.
Only a small amount on the palm of my hands is enough to give a good lather, I don't need to top up any more to wash my hair. I am trying to grow my hair at the moment and but it is still kind of short, a small blob is well enough to wash my hair. I can smell the fragrance while washing it, it is has a staying power. Rinsing is easy, it simply just rinses from the hair in no time.
My hair feels soft after shampooing and not too tangled or rough, I simply just apply my conditioner and once towelled dry it feels soft. I can brush my hair without using a conditioner when using this shampoo but I do like to use a conditioner.
This one contains blueberry and ginseng extracts to give an extra nourishment for coloured or damaged hair. I have coloured hair and found it is a good enough one for my hair. My colour hasn't faded since using this one and remained the same. It has left my hair in a good condition too and I think it is excellent quality and very good value for money.
I paid just a £1 for a 400ml bottle, it is a fabulous shampoo I think can be used by all the family and not just for coloured hair. I think if you have dry hair, this one would be more than suitable to help give it a little more moisture and less dry.
I haven't suffered any scalp problems since using it, no itchy scalp, just nice soft hair with a good shine for my coloured hair.
I think for a £1, and the amount of shampoo for this price, and the amount you need to wash the hair it just lasts for a long time for anyone with a large family. I am pleased with the results it has given for my hair and I will buy it again in the future. You just can't go wrong for a £1 for a good shampoo in my opinion.
I don't think you would be disappointed in the way this one washes the hair, think it is suitable for all ages and both male and female members of the family.
The bottle is also recyclable.
Also on Ciao under my username Pinky50.
I give it 5 stars.
Thank you for reading my review and I hope it has been of some help.
I have been too Tenerife in the past week on holiday and wanted a smaller bottle of shampoo to take with me, these Alberto balsam shampoos were only 400ml and lightweight. I also liked the idea of blueberry as its such a nice smell. A few of my friends have used this in the past so I thought it was worth the try due to its low price and nicely designed bottle!
Price and bottle:
the bottle is a 400ml size which is about middle of the range for shampoo. The bottle is tall and has a flip open lid, to get the shampoo out all you need to do is squeeze. It comes out nicely and only a small squeeze is needed, the bottle is made out of soft plastic. The bottle Is nicely designed with images of blueberries and is blue. It stands out on the shelf in nicely. I paid only £1 for the bottle which is a great price and half the price of others on the shelf. The actual bottle lasts for a long time as you only need a small amount of shampoo to lather up!
The shampoo firstly has a great smell, it is the sort of smell that makes you hungry. It also maintains the smell when you rub it into your hair which is great. It lathers up nicely and very easy to wash out. Instantly you feel your hair become cleaner, it makes your hair feel great. You would never think it would be a cheap shampoo and acts just as good as a more expensive brand. I would recommend that you try this as it will save a lot from your shopping bill. When your hair is dry it feels very nice and it also smells great. I'm not sure what the anti oxidant aspect of the product does but im sure it works! It's a high quality shampoo at a very cheap price.
It is a great shampoo and it works. I'm very happy with this product due to its price and it's smell/cleaning qualities. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good shampoo! It gets 5 stars from me, a perfect product. Thanks for reading, hope my review helped, really can't recommend this enough! Thanks, josh.
In an effort to continue to keep shopping bills reduced, given they always seem to be going up, I have been trying out some of the cheaper ranges of shampoos more and more. One of the ranges that has been top of my list to try out is the Alberto Balsam range, some of which I have tried and some of which I haven't. One which I hadn't previously tried was this Blueberry shampoo from the range, which to be honest, I had always planned to try but never did.
This blueberry shampoo, also has a sister conditioner, which I haven't yet tried. This range of shampoos are usually priced at around the £1 mark which makes them exceptionally good value for a 400ml bottle, especially in comparison to other shampoo's on the shelves.
This shampoo has been designed primarily for those with coloured or damaged hair to give extra nourishment. As well as the blueberry there are also extracts of ginseng and includes anti oxidants from the blueberries. It claims to replenish lost moisture, as well as strengthening the hair with pro vitamin B5. It is meant to leave your hair feeling gently cleansed and shiny.
Even though the biggest issue I have with my hair is a lack of volume, it also has some highlights in it, so I do like to use a shampoo that is designed for those with coloured hair. When I first tried the shampoo, I was expecting the blueberry scent to come through strongly, but in all the times I have used this shampoo, I have struggled to get a scent from this product. I thought this was a little disappointing, but it isn't critical for me when it comes to a shampoo.
After washing my hair using this shampoo, I was impressed when I combed my wet hair through, and it was so easy to do, and to me, that is always a good sign of a shampoo. When I had blow dried my hair it felt very soft and looked in great condition, and my highlights seemed to look a little brighter, which was an extra bonus. I use a rota system of shampoos so there is no build up on my hair, but everytime I have used this shampoo, it leaves my hair looking really healthy and shiny, which for £1 bottle, is very impressive.
All in all, despite the disappointing lack of scent, this is a great shampoo for a very good price. It leaves hair soft and shiny. I wouldn't say it adds volume, but it doesn't claim to do so, so this can't be a criticism, so in conclusion, I would happily purchase a bottle of this shampoo again.
I bought Alberto Balsam blueberry shampoo on a recent trip to Morrisons in a 4 for £3 deal (as well as juicy green apple, mandarin (which I have also reviewed) and raspberry) meaning each bottle cost just 75p!
Although I had used Alberto Balsam shampoos in the past I had never tried this 'flavour' so was eager to give it a try!
~ Packaging ~
The shampoo is blue in colour and comes in a 400ml translucent cylindrical bottle. The lid is a black plastic flip cap. There are stickers to the back and front of the bottle. On the front there is a picture of some blueberries and the words 'anti-oxidant blueberry' underneath. Below that it states 'with blueberry and ginseng extracts' and 'extra nourishment for coloured or damaged hair'.
The sticker on the back of the bottle has a list of ingredients, directions for use and claims that the shampoo deeply conditions and revitalises, replenishes lost moisture and adds shine and strengthens with pro-vitamin B5. The back of the bottle also says of this shampoo, 'It uses most of the ingredients you'll find in higher priced brands but at an affordable price which means you can look great every day!' which is a statement I have come to agree with!
~ Scent ~
As I had never tried this shampoo before I was keen to try it out. I found the blueberry scent to be strong and quite sharp, but very fruity! The scent reminded me of mix up/ pic n mix sweets I've had in the past and although I do quite like the scent, it is not my favourite of Alberto Balsam's flavours as I find the sharpness is the first thing you notice about it and the fruitiness comes second.
~ Use ~
The shampoo is quite thick and you don't need to use loads, which is sometimes the case with cheaper shampoos. It feels like it is good quality. Because of how thick it is, it lathers up really well and it left my hair feeling clean, soft and strong. I personally didn't notice, as claimed, that it replenished lost moisture and added shine, but it certainly didn't dry my hair out!
I was impressed with how long the scent lasted after washing my hair. Often I find with other shampoos that unless I go out of my way to sniff my hair the scent of my shampoo will only linger until my hair has dried, but with this fruity Alberto Balsam shampoo I found that when I washed my hair before going to bed the blueberry scent was still lingering the next afternoon which I find very impressive!
~ Price and availability ~
Alberto Balsam shampoos are stocked in most supermarkets (you can often get them on 4 for £3 in Asda also) and are usually £1 per bottle. The shampoo is also stocked by Wilkinsons, Boots and many Pound Stores!
Overall I have been very impressed with this shampoo especially the long-lasting scent. Although the scent is not my favourite offered by Alberto Balsam (I love the mandarin one) and I do find the scent quite sharp I would definitely buy this shampoo again. It is thick and good quality at an incredibly low price.
I have recently tried out the Alberto Balsam Anti Oxidant Shampoo with Blueberry and this is my review.
I bought the Shampoo from my local Tesco supermarket and it was on a special offer price of only £1.00 which I thought was quite good value for money. I think this special offer has ran for a good while but the normal price of the shampoo is around £2 in some shops.
The bottle is made of plastic and can be recycled which is good for me cos I like to do my bit for the environment. The bottle is a good size and is 400ml which I thought made the bottle of shampoo quite good value for money and I was pleased that it would last me quite a long time with it being a good size of bottle. There is a nice label on the bottle which has a picture of the blueberries on it and I think it looks like a nice product and it caught my eye when I was in the supermarket.
When it came to using the shampoo I only had to use a small amount about like a small handful but I do not have very long hair and you would probably need to use a bit more if you have long hair. I just put the shampoo onto my wet hair and it lathered up very easily when I added some water. The shampoo was easy to rinse off my hair and it did not feel heavy on my hair.
The smell of the blueberry shampoo was lovely and I thought it was a really nice fresh scent to use on my hair. I did not actually think the product smelled of blueberry but it was definitely a nice fresh fruity scent and I really liked it. I would like to have a scented shower gel or body wash in the same smell because it was so pleasant to use on my hair I think it would be nice to use in the bath or shower to.
I thought that the blueberry shampoo made my hair feel really nice and clean and I liked how soft the shampoo made my hair feel. I thought that there was a nice shine left on my hair after I had shampooed it with the blueberry shampoo. I usually use a conditioner after washing my hair and I actually have the Alberto Balsam Blueberry Conditioner which is the matching product to this shampoo so I used that after I had used the shampoo on my hair and I thought that the two products worked well together and they both smell really lovely.
This shampoo is suitable to use on coloured or treated hair which is good for me because I find that colouring my hair can leave it quite dry and it can look a bit dull so I do like to use products that are suitable for coloured hair and I was pleased with the shiny look this shampoo gave to my dyed hair which can look a bit dry some times. It did not dry out my hair at all which I was pleased about.
I would suggest giving the blueberry shampoo a try out and I will be buying it again. I thought it was a very good shampoo proiduct to use and I thought the price was a very good value buy and I would buy it again. I thought it gave my hair a nice shine and made it feel nice and soft and I really liked using it on my hair.
