I have very dry hair and am constantly trying to find the perfect conditioner, so when I saw this Alberto Balsam Anti-Oxidant Pomegranate and Grapeseed Extract conditioner I thought I would give it a try. I bought it from my local Morrisons when it was on a special 3 for £3 offer, I also bought the matching shampoo to make up the 3 products.

It comes in a clear bottle with a black flip top lid and it contains 400ml of product, which is pink in colour. The bottle says that it is for all hair types and will give a healthy shine and strengthen your hair. It contains pro-vitamin B5 and a number of other chemically sounding ingredients that I will not list.

The product is creamy looking and fairly thin in consistency, with a soft almost flowery smell, I have trouble identifying pomegranate to be honest, but the overall smell is not inoffensive. I have very thick, dry hair, so I apply a good amount, about the size of an egg, and make sure I rub it in, especially to the ends of my hair, I then leave it one for about 3 minutes, while I finish my shower. The product is easy to rinse off, best with hot water. I find that the smell does not really linger on my hair, but I add other products to it anyway so this is not an issue. The conditioner leaves my hair fairly soft after use and its easy to manage and style after being blow dried.

My only issue with the product is that as it is not very thick and creamy I tend to use a lot of the product at any one time, so it does not last very long, but I suppose for the price, I cannot really complain. Overall I would recommend this product to people who have less dry hair than mine, as I think it is a an ok product, but like it says on the bottle it is for all hair types, and not specifcally for dry hair. Overall I give this product 3 Dooyoo stars, owing to the lack of pomegranate smell and thin consistency of the product.
