      Disadvantages

A great conditioner at a low price.

I have just written a review for the matching shampoo for this conditioner and thought I would share my thoughts on the other half. I love these alberto balsam conditioners and shampoos because they are cheap, good quality and look nice.

This conditioner comes in a tall clear frosted plastic bottle with a black flip top lid. The bottle is pretty unexciting, just some branding and a little photo of the freesia flowers. The real gem of this brand is that their shampoos and conditioners always have such vibrant and beautiful pairing colours. This conditioner is a beautiful lilac whereas the shampoo is the same tone but a deeper shade of purple. They look fantastic together and would complete any bathroom.

The conditioner itself is a little on the thin side. If I am going on a night out I like a thick rich conditioner that really treats my hair but when it comes to everyday I prefer something a little less rich. This conditioner is perfect because it leaves my hair feeling clean, soft, tangle free and glossy without over working it. I find if I do use a richer product then my hair becomes greasy more quickly after frequent use.

The smell of this conditioner is really beautiful too. Initially I was a little reluctant to buy this one as I love the fruity flavours available from this range. That said, I've tried it and it's got a really lovely smell to it which feels very fresh and floral.

This conditioner costs £1, but I have been told you can get 4 bottles for £3 sometimes when supermarkets have it on this deal.

Overall, this is a great conditioner at a low price.

      Disadvantages

Lightly hydrates and glosses hair on an everyday basis!

When I bought the matching shampoo that is within this range at the same time I purchased the conditioner, as I do usually. I always use a conditioner after shampoo because otherwise my hair becomes coarse and unmanageable. I like my hair to be very soft and supple and for that I really do feel like I need a decent conditioner!

      The Packaging:

The conditioner comes in a frosted white plastic bottle that is 400ml in size and the only size this is available in to the best of my knowledge. On the front of the bottle it has a label and on that label I am told that it is Alberto Balsam 'Free Me Freesia' Herbal Conditioner and that it contains Aloe and Jasmine extracts and that it is meant to deliver deep shine to all hair types and of course the size is stated (as I've listed already) and there is a small photograph of what I assume is freesia's on the there too. On the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and how to use it, ingredients are listed and contact details for Alberto-Culver (the manufacturer of the product) are also stated. Nice easy to open and use bottle this is and of course it is informative enough and doesn't give out any unnecessary information so all the information ends up being well laid out and understandable!

      Using It:

Well all you need to do with this is make sure your hair is washed thoroughly and also rinsed thoroughly. You then apply a small blob of the the very light coloured lilac creamy but runny enough to coat the hair conditioner. It evenly distributes whilst giving off a very gentle and natural fragrance of soft flowers and then all you do is leave it on your hair for about 1-2 minutes and then rinse it out (which is incredibly simple and straightforward to do!). It applies with ease and gives me no grief at all and feels nice enough whilst left on the hair to penetrate it!

      Verdict:

I love this lovely scented high quality, everyday conditioner. I love the fact that not only does it leaves a really delicate and lingering scent of light flowers on my hair but it also leaves my hair feeling light (though not flyaway) and as soft as silk. It gives my hair a nice natural looking shine too and keeps knots at bay all day long. I find that after using this my hair is easier to style and feels fresher for longer and all round love it!

This can be purchased in all good supermarkets and chemists at about a pound a bottle and my advice to you is try it as it's suitable for any hair type that wants a bit of light hydration and a nice shine! Great stuff once again from the Alberto brand!
