I really noticed this range of shampoo's and conditioners through Dooyoo, I noticed that they consistantly seemd to get positive reviews, and I was intrigued to see whether such a fantastically priced product would produce the results I wanted.

I do normally pay a fair bit for my hair care products, I have always been a bit of a sucker for the fancy bottles and the fancy marketing slogans promising bouncy, shining locks. Times are hard however so I really need to tighten the purse string and make a few sacrifices. After reading all the fab reviews for Alberto Balsam I decided to give them a go.

I picked a bottle up on my weekly Tesco shop and I really was taken aback at the price...89p for a big 400ml bottle. It almost made me rethink my decision- surely something that cheap wouldn't be any good? No, I had confidence in my fellow Dooyooer's so I decided to take the plunge.

I opted for the Juicy Green Apple shampoo for two reasons, firstly because it was for normal/greasy hair which mine is, and secondly because I had a cheeky lift of the lid and a big sniff, and it smelt absolutley divine. I love the fresh smell of apples and if this shampoo could make my hair smell that good, then I was sold.

That evening, I used the shampoo for the first time. I applied a blob to my hair in the shower and was impressed that I got a good lather straight away. I then rinsed and applied a second blob and this time lathered up even better and I got a really gorgeous smell of apples. I then rinsed the shampoo and applied conditioner.

After blow drying my hair, I was expecting the scrummy smell to have faded beyond recognition but I did have a bit of a swish and I could still smell that lovely applely aroma. My hair also felt really soft and looked shiney and clean...result!

So, I have been converted, while I may still splash out every now and then on a more expensive product as a treat, this is a great everyday shampoo that I will definately buy again.
