Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: None at all in my opinion
Having had a few good experiences using Alberto Balsam shampoo's in the past when I spotted this one for just £1.29 a bottle in my local Sainsbury's store I decided I really must try it out. I love the smell of apples and when I took a sniff of it in the bottle before I opted to purchase it I loved it!
The Packaging:
400ml slightly frosted see-through bottle with a black flip top lid to the top of it concealing a small hole. On the front of the bottle there is a picture of an apple on there and I'm told in black and white writing that it is Alberto Balsam Juicy Green Apple Herbal Shampoo 'With apple and grape seed extracts' and that it if for normal/greasy hair and the size of the product is stated. Other information on the back of the bottle includes being told a bit about the product, directions for use are given along with ingredients and contact details for Alberto-Culver being listed. It's a nice enough bottle and informative enough but it's nothing fancy and suitable for men to buy too!
A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Bottle:
This juicy green apple shampoo is super fruity and will leave you and your hair feeling fresh and healthy. It uses most of the same ingredients you'll find in more expensive brands, but at a great price which means you can afford to look glamorous every day!
Directions For Use:
Wet hair, use a good size dollop of shampoo, lather, then rinse thoroughly.
Me Using It:
Well I wet my hair and as advised apply a good sized dollop of the transparent green gel like textured shampoo to my hair. It lathers into big, thick and rich white soapy bubbles ever so quickly and feels really soft, smooth and nourishing as I am using it.
The fragrance of this is just simply wonderful. It really does smell of sweet, ripe and crisp apples in a completely natural way and I seriously like that fresh smell!
I then rinse and then I repeat and again it lathers up wonderfully and rinses out incredibly easily and leaves no residue of any kind in my hair.
Results:
Clean looking and smelling hair and that smell of apples lingers on my hair all day long making me feel my hair is cleaner for longer. After rinsing this out I do follow with a conditioner but for this review I'm not talking about conditioning just cleansing and this does that well and before using a conditioner my hair feels soft, clean and fresh and unknotty and not one bit soapy or lifeless and unmanageable.
I love the simpleness of this lovely smelling shampoo and think it's great for my type of hair and I can use it frequently. I have combination hair which is prone to greasy roots, a dry mid section and dry, split ends and this really doesn't upset the natural balance of my hair at all.
I shall buy this time and time again and can't believe that for the price this costs it's so amazing and suitable for anyone to use really. A great purchase and available in many supermarkets, chemists etc.
Summary: An excellent every-day shampoo!
