“ Brand: Alberto / Type: Hair Shampoo / Texture: Cream / Product line: Alberto Balsam „
I have bought quite a few shampoos from this range and found they are really suitable for washing my hair. They are very cheap to buy and you get a lot of shampoo for the price too. I like to try different shampoos and I do have my favourites but I hadn't tried this one before so thought I would give it a go. It comes in a tall, slim transparent plastic bottle which has a flip back lid. The liquid inside the bottle is a baby pink colour. It has a rich consistency and doesn't drip from the bottle while pouring it onto the hands. It has a soft texture to it and is quite smooth. It has a really nice fragrance to it and smells of strawberries. The scent is quite a sweet one and quite has quite a fruity aroma. I love the smell of this shampoo. You don't need a lot of the shampoo to create a good lather and create lots of bubbles and foam on the hair. A little does go a long way. I just pour a blob onto the palms of my hands and then just work it into a lather. I have long hair and find the blob is well enough to cover my whole hair without having to use any extra to get a good coverage. The smell is apparent while washing the hair and the fragrance does have a lasting fragrance in the bathroom a while after using it. I love the feel of this shampoo on my hair, I can feel how well it is washing it in just a couple of minutes of massaging it into my hair. After the few minutes I find it is very easy to rinse from my long hair. because I have long hair, I do need to use a conditioner to detangle any knots but my hair does feel fairly smooth but I couldn't get away with not using a conditioner for my length of hair but if you have short hair I think you would be fine and maybe get away with not using one. I have washed my little grandchildren's hair with this shampoo and found it has left their hair with no knots and their hair hasn't been tangled, just nice and soft. Once dried my hair feels nice and soft, it flows well and feels revitalised and extremely clean. It removes dirt really well and it doesn't leave the hair feeling rough or unmanageable. I can easily brush my grandchildren's hair with a soft brush with no problems at all. It doesn't leave my hair feeling dry and my roots don't feel all oily. I like the way it gives moisture to my hair which is dyed and it doesn't leave it feeling rough and damaged. I do treat my hair with a deep conditioner mask a few times a week and so this shampoo works alongside the mask to give a nice look to my hair so that I can easily style it in the way I want to that day. Also contains pro vitamin B5 which helps strengthen the hair and to help keep it in tip top condition and a nice natural ingredient which is good for the hair. This is a fabulous family shampoo which I think is more than suitable for both sexes. It doesn't have a feminine fragrance and I think it is one men would like too. My hubby quite likes this shampoo and he hasn't refused to wash his hair with this one. He hates using a feminine shampoo but he is more than happy to wash his hair with this one, so all good. It is really cheap to buy and it only costs a £1 for a 400ml bottle, I think for this price it is extremely good value for money and the quality of the shampoo is super. Is so affordable for all budgets and a good one to save lots of money if you have a large family and lots of children. I think it is a really nice family shampoo. I simply think you just cannot go wrong with this shampoo, it is one I will certainly buy again in the future, it serves its purpose really well and give super results and cleans hair perfectly. I highly do recommend this shampoo if you are maybe looking to dropping a brand and wanting to buy a nice decent shampoo to save you some money. The bottle can easily be recycled after use too. Also appears on Ciao under my username pinky50. I give this shampoo 5 stars. Thank you for reading my review and I hope it has been of some help.
Shampoo is something which I have never had a particular loyalty to any one specific brand and although I have had ones which I have really liked more often than not I just buy whatever is on offer. For the last few months though I have been buying the same daily shampoo so it goes to show that I like it. I originally bought this because it was on offer but when I got it home I absolutely loved it so went back and stocked up on a pile of bottles so that I would have enough to last me for a few months. It works well as a daily household shampoo as both my daughter and myself really like it and even my son hasn't complained too much (though he does think it smells a little girly). Strawberry is one of my favourite smells and this shampoo is absolutely delicious smelling. It is one of those fragrances where when you smell it it actually makes you hungry as it is so sweet and fragrant. The strawberries are complimented perfectly by whatever they put in it to make it creamy looking as it isn't too sharp and sickly sweet. This scents my hair really nicely and cleans well enough for a daily shampoo. I do still get a build up of product in my hair but I have special shampoo for that. It isn't too harsh on my hair either and it doesn't dry it out too much or leave it all frizzy and tangled when I am drying it. It lathers up nicely and I would struggle to tell the difference between this and a more expensive shampoo. I only paid 75p for a great big 400ml bottle which I think is amazing value but even at full price it is under £1. This is cheaper than I usually pay for a daily shampoo but I really can't tell any difference in the quality of this as it feels and acts more luxurious than it should be for the price.
I have been buying these alberto balsam shampoos and conditioners for absolutely ages and have worked my way through almost every single flavour option available. This was one of my more recent purchases and I have to say I was a little reluctant to go for this one because I'm not a huge fan of sweet fragrances. This shampoo comes in a tall clear frosted bottle with a black plastic flip lid. The design is nice, simple and functional with no frills but nice enough to display in your bathroom. Though the design is simple it is really the vibrant colours of these products which makes them so desirable. This particular shampoo is a lovely bright pinky red and goes really well with the more muted and creamy coloured conditioner. My bathroom is turquoise so this isn't always my first choice but I do love the colour of this one so I can ignore the clash. Despite my reservation this shampoo does smell lovely. It isn't overly sweet or insipid but has just the right balance of sharp tangy fruit and sweet soft creaminess to make it a great match, just like the real thing. This shampoo always leaves my hair smelling good enough to eat and leaves me feeling fresh and clean all day long. The shampoo is also a really nice consistency, thick but not so much it won't flow easily. It also lathers really easily and without much rubbing at all. It create plenty of bubble to dispense across my whole head of hair and there's always excess to use to shave my underarms or legs. I find you don't really need a great deal of this in order to get enough lather so this makes it even better value for money. My hair is always left feeling soft, glossy and smelling fantastic. I don't have especially dry or greasy hair but I do style it and dye it a lot and this can have a wearing effect on the quality of my hair. I find this shampoo hydrates it and leaves it feel clean and fresh, without causing any additional damage. You can get these shampoos for around £1 which is a pretty good deal considering most shampoos are over this price and don't smell nearly as good. Overall, I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone.
I love trying out new shampoos and hair treatments. I had tried the Alberto Balsam Coconut shampoo and conditioners so I decided to try to Strawberry and Cream scented one on this range. I was really pleased with the results from this shampoo and think that it was as good as the coconut scented shampoo and conditioner. Application It is really easy to apply this shampoo, just lather it into your hair and then rinse it out. I find that you do not need lots of this shampoo to get good results and it rinses really easily out of my hair. Scent The scent of this shampoo is what attracted me the most to buy it. It smells amazing, it has a really sweet strawberry scent to it, it isn't sickening in my opinion. Results I really like the way my hair smells when I use this shampoo, the scent lingers for ages after I have washed it and I have even had people comment on how nice my hair smells. My hair feels really fresh and clean when I have used this shampoo. I really like that this shampoo does not weigh down my hair, meaning it does not get greasy quickly after washing it and I can go an extra day without washing my hair sometimes when I use this shampoo. I have also found that my hair is really manageable and easy to style when I use this shampoo, it is a great shampoo. Price and Availability I bought this shampoo in Tesco for 99p, this is a good price in my opinion. You can also get the Strawberries and Cream Conditioner for 99p. I think that it is great that you can get a decent shampoo and a conditioner for under £2. Overall I think that this is a great shampoo, it smells amazing and it leaves my hair feeling soft and manageable and keeps it from getting greasy too quickly. Overall I would give this shampoo 4 out of 5 stars. *also on ciao under lorrainek90
Price and Availability The alberto Balsam range is available in pretty much every supermarket so I have noticed so far such as ASDA, tesco and sainsburies, my mum used to buy these from ASDA with their four for £3 offer which is quite good because they're roughly £1 each anyway, this way it works out cheaper than £1 per bottle. Pretty bathroom colours The strawberry and cream collection is one of my favourites and being a girl I'm more attracted to this for my bathroom anyway just because it's a really light pink, you can see the product because the bottle is see through. viscosity, lather and washing The shampoo is easy to squeeze out of the bottle and when it does come out it's a gel like substance, it's quite runny, I usually like to get about a grape sized amount,I only have short hair and this covers my hair great. giving it a little rub once on my wet hair it bubbles up really fast and easily with no effort at all. Once I've rinsed this off my hair feels really clean and refreshed. Smell and Results This is my favourite of the full balsam range because of the scent is delicious, strawberries and cream. This does actually smell like it as well and once this is on my hair the smell stays as well, I don't even have to use the conditioner to lock the scent in, This washes really well and it doesn't dry my hair out so I don't always feel the need to use conditioner.
I first used this when I stayed at my dads one time for a 2 weeks and didn't bother to take my own shampoo. I have used the strawberry, tea tree and blueberry variations. My hair is oily and really I should have bought my own with me however I wanted to save space when packing. The first one I used was thr strawberry one, I needed to use quite a lot to get it to lather and cover my hair properly which meant it would get used up quicker and then it took ages to rinse out of my hair and left it really heavy and greasy feeling. I absolutely hated this and felt disgusting for the rest of the day, it progressively got greasier and greasier through out the day. The next day I tried the Tea Tree one which is more directed at oily hair (I actually read the back of this one!) and I found the same problems, although it did help control the oiliness for longer. Also I couldn't stand the smell! I use Tea Tree smelling products for my entire face routine so I am used to the smell but for hair it was awful, it stuck to my hair all day! The next day I had to buy some of my usual shampoo and now always take up mini travel ones of my preferred shampoo as I really hate these shampoos. The only good thing about them is the price which is about £1 in Asda or 3 for 4 however being so cheap doesn't reassure you it's going to do much to your hair and it isn't a product I would have chosen to buy anyway, especially with the packaging too. I really don't recommend any type of the Alberto shampoo or conditioners as they really do nothing to help your hair, barely even clean it! It doesn't even deserve one star!!
I use many different brands of shampoo but one I regularly buy is Alberto Balsam. You can usually find this brand in many different supermarkets and other stores and prices are around £1 for a 400ml bottle. They are certainly one of the cheapest shampoos available but the quality of the product exceeds any expectations you might have given the meagre price tag. I have dry and damaged hair that is a bit bleached with frazzled curls. I therefore always buy a shampoo especially for my hair type. Alberto Balsam make shampoos and conditioners for all hair types. Each of their varieties have different fragrances and benefits. The shampoo specifically for dry/damaged hair is their 'Strawberries and Cream' variety. This shampoo comes in a semi-opaque bottle which I can recycle after using. The shampoo can be seen through the bottle and it is a cocktail pink colour which is pleasing to the eye. The colour goes well with the design on the bottle which shows a close up photograph of a strawberry. You can learn about the shampoo by reading the labels on the bottle. This formula contains "soy proteins and luscious strawberry extract" which is how it gets it's 'Strawberries and Cream' moniker. The brand, Alberto-Culver, make a point of stating that their ingredients are pretty much identical to those in higher priced shampoo products. They also boast that the shampoo contains a "pro-vitamin B5" and state that the shampoo will 'gently cleanse, moisturise and nourish'. Directions for use state to simply apply to wet hair, lather and rinse. No repeat is necessary unless you really want to. It is advised to use the conditioner in this range alongside this shampoo but I don't always do this. However, for the full fragrance experience and because the products work together to create the perfect result I would recommend also purchasing the conditioner. The shampoo flows like runny honey and is very easy to dispense. I don't need to use very much for my long hair as the liquid shampoo lathers up very quickly and becomes very foamy and fluffy immediately. It feels soft and gooey and is easy to work through roots and hair shafts. I tend to focus on my scalp and let the bubbles run through the length of my hair since they are so adbundant. The fragrance of the shampoo is amazing and for anyone who prefers a recognisable aroma rather than a chemical freshness then this is for you. The fragrance is obviously strawberry but it is very intense, intoxicating and sugar sweet. It is rather reminiscent of a strawberry and milk smoothie and really smells good enough to eat. The fragrance is perhaps aimed at us females rather than men though. The shampoo can be rinsed out quickly and easily despite their being a lot of bubbles. The foam dissolves in warm or hot water and rather than leave the hair feeling stripped of it's natural oils and too squeaky it leaves it feeling soft and clean. The shampoo does a great job at cleaning my scalp and removing any hair styling product residue from the hair itself. I never wash my hair and feel like it's not clean enough. I always use a conditioner after washing my hair so this may have an effect on the end condition of my hair. However, in regards to cleanliness and comfort my hair always feels great after drying and my scalp always feels fresh and my skin able to breathe. My hair never has dandruff flakes in it and always smells really fresh. My hair looks reasonably shiny (would like a bit more shine though) and it moves really well immediately after using the shampoo. This is a great product overall and one I can't recommend enough especially if you need to save money in these tough economic times. This shampoo provides a fun and luxurious washing experience thanks to the fragrance and frothiness. It also leaves hair looking and feeling really good. The only thing I would say is that I would like my hair to appear to have a little more shine. This is not something the brand say the shampoo achieves though. Alberto Balsam's claims that the shampoo 'cleans, moisturises, nourishes and strengthens' hair can not be denied though.
I had never used this shampoo until I stumbled across it at a friends house. After the first use, I knew I was never going to buy a different shampoo! I'll be honest, what draws me to hair care products first is always the scent. If I pick up a shampoo and don't like the smell of it, it'll go straight back on the shelf, regardless of what it would do for my hair. This shampoo though, really does smell just like strawberries and cream! It is a beautiful scent that lasts on my hair for hours after I've used it. The scents are definitely the best thing about all Alberto Balsam products! This particular product is for dry and damaged hair, which is exactly how I would describe mine after numerous dyes, bleaches and hot styling. My hair is far from healthy, but as my damaged hair grows out and slowly starts getting cut off, this shampoo is just brilliant at making my hair feel as good as it can! It does make it feel softer, and combined with the use of the strawberries and cream conditioner, makes my hair less tangled and frizzy. This is my favourite shampoo, and I am always hesitant to try new ones now I know that it works so well! I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about trying it. Especially as it is one of the cheapest shampoos in any store!!
This shampoo is incredibly cheap, it comes in at a whopping £1.00 for 400ml and is available in most places, for 400ml I didn't expect much but you never know what a bottle of shampoo holds. The shampoo comes in a clear bottle, in which you can see the shampoo. Over the front is a sticker with a picture of strawberries on, the Alberto logo and some more useful information on the product. It has a black flip top lid which is easy to use. Overall, its rather simple and looks quite cheap but hey ho. When using make sure you dont squeeze to hard, infact dont squeeze at all, just tilt it upside down and hold over your hand and it will come out! I think this is because of the texture, its very very thin and not at all creamy and the norm shampoo texture. The shampoo smells really nice, it definitely is strawberries and cream! The aroma of the shampoo fills up the whole room and it honestly is good enough to drink, it smells like the hard sweets you get, a very gentle and soft smell and I personally just love it. Because the shampoo is so thin its quite hard to put through my hair, I often find it slipping from my hands before I have time to put it in, and I also find it doesn't really coat my hair so I have to use a good bit ( this is why the big bottle me thinks! ) The shampoo colour is like above, but a lot more 'gel' looking and clearer, but still very pink! I think the above is the picture of the conditioner not the shampoo! My hair knotted up quite badly with this shampoo, and for some reason it felt like it was drying out my hair instead of nourishing it like it was supposed too! because my hair was so knotty it was quite hard to get out without me pulling on my hair because it was so rough, once again I had to resort the chucking a lot of conditioner over it whilst the shampoo was in to help me wash it out easier. After my hair was dried I noticed it was more dry! Not a good thing! Wouldn't use again! Will review conditioner soon.
I have very long hair, and due to this I like to wash it on a regular basis, which can be between one and two times a day. It can get greasy quite quickly because I touch it often, and this is why I ensure it is washed this often. I never particular buy shampoos designated for certain hair types, as I do not suffer from dry or frizzy hair, so I generally just pick up any old shampoo that looks like it might do the trick. Having seen this around various supermarkets and stores such as Wilkinsons, I thought I may as well pick one of these shampoos up as it was only £1.00, and as a student, I am trying to economise as well as I possibly can, so I try to shop around for cheaper shampoo which will still give good results. Alberto Balsam had quite a distinctive range of appealing, fruity flavours but I just opted for strawberries and cream as it sounded like a lovely scent which I would be happy to use. Oh boy was I right! The scent of this shampoo is gorgeous, and enough in itself to make you want to buy it. It is extremely sweet and very fruity, although may not be the best scent if you are male, or sharing the house with males as it is quite a feminine scent. This was what I was most pleased with, however how well did the product perform? The bottle itself is fairly big, therefore you get a decent amount of shampoo within it, and mine has lasted me a good few weeks now. To get the product out, you simply have to squeeze very gently and it comes out easily, however one thing I have noticed is how strange the texture and consistency of this shampoo is. Most shampoos dispense quite thick, however this one is a little bit runny and from this point forwards, I began to realise why the shampoo is such a bargain. When added to the hair, it does lather up, however it is nothing too special. It washes out quickly and easily, and I suppose it does do the job as it simply washes your hair out and leaves it with a nice scent, however you can tell from feeling your hair, as well as the results that it is just not of a high quality, and much more can be achieved through paying a few extra pennies on your shampoo. Another thing to note is that if you apply too much of the shampoo, it can leave your hair feeling sticky and overall less clean than it was originally. This is one of my pet hates when it comes to shampoos, so watch out for that! However, if you are simply looking for a cheap shampoo that will just do the job with no extra perks, by all means check this out. I can not fault it for its scent or price, however a little bit more could be offered by Alberto Balsam to give this shampoo the wow factor. Thanks for reading.
I picked this up in Asda for a £1 to use after swimming and the gym. I always buy something cheap as I then go home and shower again anyway. A bottle of this shampoo contains 400ml. The packaging is nice for the price you can see the pinky shampoo through the bottle and it has a nice picture of a strawberry on the front. This shampoo is for normal to hair. To use this shampoo you apply a small amount to wet hair, lather and rinse with clean water. The shampoo has a very thin consistency compared to more expensive brands. I wondered if this was perhaps why it was so cheap and comes in such a large sized bottle. The best thing about this shampoo is the smell it is really nice, it reminds me of the Campino sweets you used to be able to buy. With this shampoo I had to use a lot more than I normally would to get a decent lather. It rinsed out really well though. After using the shampoo as recommended I followed on with the conditioner. Even though Alberto Balsam state their products contain the same ingredients as much more expensive brands after using this shampoo my hair was really puffy. It was really matted even after using the conditioner. I had to spend a while combing the knots out of my hair. My hair once it had dried was even worse it looked dull and lifeless. I have dry hair as it is highlighted and I straighten it regularly. It certainly didn't leave my hair conditioned in anyway, which is a shame as the price and smell are really great! In the end I used the shampoo as a shower gel rather than waste it and the conditioner I used on my hair before entering the pool as it helps coats your hair and prevents it drying out. I wouldn't buy this again.
Usually when I buy hair products, I wont buy cheap ones. It isn't that I'm a product snob or anything but my hair gets so knotty sometimes and it is really thin so I need something that actually does what it says it will. However, being a student has made me think twice about the products I buy and how much I spend on things. Hair products have been on my list of things to change for a while now and the first thing I tried was the Alberto Balsam Strawberry and Cream conditioner which is designed for dry/ damaged hair. At my local Asda, I found a bottle of this for only £1. I was impressed with the price but then this was before I actually used the product. The conditioner comes in a 400ml plastic bottle and you can see the product through the clear plastic. The conditioner is a very sweet pink colour, which is to be expected considering the name of the product. The lid is black with a flip top so it seemed easy enough to be able to get the conditioner out of the bottle. When it came to using this conditioner, I realised why it was so cheap. After already shampooing my hair (with a product from a different brand), I flipped open the conditioner bottle. Here is where things started to go wrong. The conditioner came out of the small hole far too easily with the consistency being really thin. Conditioners are usually very thick and creamy but not this one. I had to use quite a large amount on my hair due to how thin the product was and how long my hair is (a long way down my back). I figured that if I were to carry on using this conditioner, I could quite easily go through a bottle in less than two weeks at this rate. The smell of the conditioner is fabulous. It really does smell like strawberries and cream so I was pleasantly surprised when I could still smell it after having it on my hair for a few minutes. As I rinsed the conditioner out of my hair, it was easily removed but my hair didn't feel fantastic. I was hoping this would change once I had blow dried my hair. I was wrong. Although my hair didn't feel terrible, it took a lot to comb through the knots as this conditioner didn't smooth or untangle my hair at all. Once my hair was dry and knot free (eventually) it did feel much better but still, the results weren't fantastic. My hair felt quite smooth but not as soft as I am used to. At only £1 a bottle, I cant really complain too much. When it comes to conditioners, it seems like you get what you pay for and this time, I paid for a bottle of rubbish. Not recommended.
I love the smell of this shampoo! It reminds me of the sweet 'Campinos' that were swirly red and white, which smell absolutely gorgeous. However, it does tend to turn a few heads when I walk into a lecture smelling like I've left my head in a jar of sweets all night! I use this on my 4 year old sister's hair too as she loves the smell as well as the lovely baby pink colour (she thinks it smells a little of candyfloss). All in all though, this is a shampoo that does it's job.. It seems to strips my hair of the build up from previous shampoos as it leaves my hair feeling really light and 'clean'. However, you will almost definitely need to use conditioner too - my hair tends to get pretty dry after all the build up being taken out (but my hair is highlighted blonde so it does need a little more attention) but even my sister's hair needs a little bit of conditioner or it just won't untangle when trying to brush it. For a 400ml bottle, it costs around £1.29 - but I have found that you can usually get offers such as 2 for £2 in Superdrug so you can get the shampoo and conditioner for a pretty cheap price. The bottle is clear which is good as you can see how much you have left! The flip top lid makes for ease of use and you just tip the bottle up to dispense as much as you need. Even though the smell is pretty overpowering, you can all use it.. To tone it down a little (or a lot), I use a different conditoner - which helps quite a lot and still leaves your hair feeling and smelling fresh!
I will admit it now before I go on. I am guilty of purchasing shampoos and conditioners based on their smell more than anything. This is definitely what happened when I decided to pick up a bottle of Alberto Balsam's "Strawberries and Cream" shampoo. This shampoo comes in a clear plastic bottle, with a sticker adorning the front of the Alberto Balsam logo, with a strawberry (just to further emphasise that it contains a strawberry scent, encase you didn't pick that up already!). The reverse of the bottle states that this shampoo "Gently Cleanses, Moisturises and Nourishes" and "Strengthens with pro-vitamin B5", and is formulated for people with dry and damaged hair in particular. According to the bottle, this shampoo uses most of the ingredients you will find in much more expensive brands, but for a discounted price, which I was pleased about, as I refused to pay a fortune for a bottle of shampoo which, with the substantial thickness of my hair, probably wouldn't last for a considerably long time anyway. There are directions for use on the back of the bottle also, just encase you were wondering if it works in the same way as most shampoos. The bottle comes equipped with an easy to open flip lid, which also closes tightly enough to prevent any shampoo leaking out when it is not being used. The first thing I noticed when I first used this shampoo was the strong scent. It did indeed smell sweetly of strawberries, with a hint of cream, although the strawberry smell was definitely a lot stronger than the latter. I put on the recommended "50p" size dollop into my hair, and massaged it in thoroughly, making sure that all of my hair was evenly coated with the shampoo. I found that only a small helping of this shampoo actually lathers up very well, and so thankfully, this shampoo has lasted a very long time. When I squeezed the shampoo out into my hands, I noticed that it was of a bubblegum pink shade, with a pearlescent finish. It also had a very thick consistency, meaning that you do not have to use as much in one go as you may possibly have to with other shampoos. This shampoo comes in a 400ml size, which, as a person who washes her hair every other night, lasted a long time. This may vary depending on how many people are using it, the length and thickness of your hair, and how often you wash your hair though. It is also worth noting that this shampoo is very cheap, especially considering the ingredients contained within it are almost the same as more expensive brands. I paid £1.02 for this bottle in my local Tesco, but I do believe it is also available in other supermarkets for a similar price. The shampoo was very simple to wash out under clean water, and I found it was squeaky clean within minutes of washing out all the formula. After getting out of the bath and padding into the bedroom to dry my hair, I noticed a substantial difference to my hair. I had previously been using Fructis, which I noticed left my hair feeling sticky, and very greasy again not long after washing it. Thankfully, this shampoo did not do this, as my hair was left smelling sweetly of strawberries, had a nice clean and smooth feel to it, and left my hair feeling very refreshed. Luckily this softness lasts long after blow drying it, and seeing as it is a dry and damaged hair formula, my hair felt a lot softer than it would have done if I had tried a normal shampoo. Sadly the smell does not hang around for a long time though, and I noticed that by the next morning the smell had disappeared from my hair, although I was pleased that my hair had remained smooth and clean looking. It also looks a lot healthier, which is brilliant, as years of blow drying my hair and using straighteners did leave it looking a little frazzled. Alberto Balsam Strawberries and Cream shampoo is an excellent shampoo for people suffering from dry and damaged hair. The shampoo nourishes your hair with moisturising properties, and it is left looking noticeably healthier, smoother and cleaner after washing. It is also very cheap considering it has the same ingredients in as more expensive shampoos, and the size of the bottle means that it lasts for a very long time. The smell is delightful, and whilst it is rather sweet, it is not strong enough to put me off using this shampoo again. Sadly though, the smell only really hangs around for a little while after washing and drying your hair, and I have found that the smell has all but disappeared by the next day. I would definitely be using this product again, as it has worked a treat on my hair, and if you are looking for something to make your hair feel and look revived, then I would strongly suggest giving this one a go.
I have used most of the Alberto balsam shampoo range, but my favourite is the strawberries and cream one. The shampoo is great value for money, it costs around £1 in most supermarkets and the conditioner is also available at this price. The bottle is 400ml in size and it lasts a while as you do not need to use much in one wash, I usually only need a small amount of shampoo, I have a regular length hair. A positive to the shampoo is that it also washes out easily, unlike other shampoos. The shampoo is in a clear bottle which is useful as you can see how much shampoo is left in the bottle, there is an image of strawberries of the front, this varies with the different varieties available. As soon as I open the bottle I am able to smell the strawberries and cream and it is a very pleasant smell. I enjoy using this shampoo as it leaves my hair clean and smelling nice. Where as with some other shampoos the smell with fade when shampoo is washed out. Overall I think this is a great shampoo and I would recommend this it as it is great value for money and works really well.
With soy milk proteins and luscious strawberry extract /
