... shampoo is a mid translucent mid pink colour, the smell is unreal! Very very strong strawberry, very very distinctive, a little sickly if I'm honest. I like the smell of strawberries so all good. Hubby was less keen as he thought it was very girly. The consistancy was fine. Gloopy and quite jelly-fied, did mean that qhen you squeeze it out alot comes out, although it also globs back in if you are carefull. I prefer this than runny versions. the product lathers very well, and more importantly was nice and easy...more

I seem to go through a vast amound of shampoo and conditioner. I have very long wavy hair, and its fairly dry and does have a tendancy to be a little frizzy occationally. I use 3 times at least more conditioner than shampoo. I was drawn to Alberto Balsam Strawberries and Cream shampoo and conditioner in Asda as it was 4 x 400ml bottles of any from the range for £4.00!!!!! Seems a bit unreal for a Branded product, so in my basket went 1 shampoo and 4 conditioners. Mearly for your information to give you an idea of my prefered product, I tend to always go back to Pantene....but this is 4 times the price, so why not give this credit crunch brand ...  Read the complete review

I only originally brought this because it was on offer for a pound at my local chemist but Im very glad I did. This shampoo smells absolutely AMAZING strawberry with just a hint of cream, not only when your washing your hair with it but also the smell lasts for days after. You will find taht you keep smelling the bottle it's that nice!! This particular type of shampoo is designed for dry/damaged hair and after the very first use you can feel your hair getting smoother and more nourished and it looks pretty fantastic as well. The appearance of the shampoo is very gorgeous as well looks quite like a strawberry milkshake and is light pink in colour, lathers up ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Alberto Balsam Strawberries and Cream Shampoo: Cheap and Fruity! (534 words)

I've been trying to save money, especially on beauty products, as that is where a large proportion of my disposable income goes - if you hadn't already guessed from all my reviews! I have used Alberto Balsam shampoos and conditioners before and found them to be OK and often with nice fragrances you wouldn't necessarily expect from a cheap brand, and at just £1.05 a bottle from Boots, I decided to give the Strawberries and Cream variety a try. The shampoo is for dry/damaged hair, and as someone who regularly straightens my hair, my hair can get quite damaged from the constant heat, which also dries it out, so this sounded ideal for me. The shampoo ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The smell is out of this world! (366 words)

This is probably my favourite out of all the Alberto Balsam range because it smells absolutely amazing without any medicated over smell which is why I am going to spend a few moments telling you all about it! The bottle is see through so you can see that the actual shampoo is a baby pink colour which is lovely for all you girly girls out there who like to have everything matching. The lid is black with a top that flips open very easily and can even be done with one finger! When you open that lid, squeeze a little and take a little sniff you will be met with a lovely array of creamy strawberries. It really is like smelling a fruit smoothie that has ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Alberto Balsam Strawberries and Cream Shampoo: Do not eat this shampoo - it is bad for you (263 words)

When shampoo comes in flavours of something you really want to eat, you run the dangerous risk of making sure no-one is looking and taking a quick swig in the shower. This is very likely when it comes to strawberries and cream shampoo. Now, I don't have much hair, but I still wash it! Every morning, the main thing I am looking for is a way to wake my body up, and this really does the trick. This shampoo smells very strongly of sweetness. I wouldn't call it strawberries and cream, but it certainly is floral and sweet. Consistency-wise, it's liquid but gel-like, and stays in your hand very well, unlike some runnier shampoos that drip everywhere. ...  Read the complete review
