Advantages: Cheap and effective

Disadvantages: the smell isnt one of the best.

I normally use shampoo and conditioners that are specifically for blonde hair because I dye my hair. After a little while I tend to find that my hair gets used to a certain shampoo and I don't get a very good clean so I like to mix it up a bit every now and again. I tend to buy this shampoo for the boys in my house so it was only natural that I went on to this for a while.

The shampoo is from the Alberto Balsam range and is called sun kissed raspberry. It's especially for normal to dry hair and contains juniper and chamomile extracts. It normally cost 98p for a 400ml bottle but Asda have been selling them at 3 for £2 for quite a long time.

On the front of the bottle is a picture of a couple of lovely, big succulent raspberries that makes you want to eat them! You can see the shampoo through the bottle and it's a nice pink colour.

The shampoo has a nice smell to it although I wouldn't guess that it is raspberry if I had my eyes shut. It has a kind of medicated smell to it which I find that the others don't tend to have but it is still rather nice to sniff.

The consistency of the shampoo is fairly thick although it does run into a big pool once it hit's your palms. I actually like that it's a little runny because it tends to massage into the hair better.

The shampoo makes a big lather of bubbles when you start working it through the hair and just a small blob covers every inch of my head. I have quite long hair so I like the fact that I don't need to use very much as the bottle goes further. It rinses out as well as it massages in and within minutes I can feel that my hair is squeaky clean.

The finished results are a nice, soft, shiny wig which gives the same results as any other shampoo I use. I'm not sure if over time, I would notice that this shampoo is less effective but like I said earlier, I tend to mix up my shampoos quite regularly.

Over all I like this shampoo although the smell is definitely not my favorites out of the range. It cleans well and is not costly and it also works well as a bubble bath which I found out when I ran out of my usually bubbly. I would recommend it highly.

Summary: A nice shanpoo that does the job
