Alberto Balsam Tea Tree Tingle Herbal Conditioner
Advantages: Soft, smooth hair at a great price
Disadvantages: A small bit runny, slightly medicated smell
Shampoo and conditioners are products that I vary on every couple of weeks. Depending on what's on offer at the time. The reason I bought this one is because my daughter was coming to stay with us and she had a sensitive scalp and sticks to aloe vera or tea tree products.
I bought the shampoo from the same range as well as this conditioner. The conditioner was a very reasonable 80p in Tesco for the 400ml bottle which I thought was very good.
The bottle is a cloudy kind of plastic but you are still able to see through it to see how much you have left in the bottle. It is a tall cylindrical bottle with a flat base so it's easy to stand it up. The lid is black plastic and flips open which is easier that one which you might have to screw off.
The bottle can be recycled.
The bottle says it has tea tree and mint extracts and helps to promote healthy hair and scalp, also that it strengthens with pro vitamin B.
When my daughter arrived she told me that this is now her regular conditioner so I thought it must be good.
I used the shampoo first and rinsed it out before applying a generous amount of this conditioner. I tend to use a lot of conditioner as I have to colour my hair often to cover the greys and find the ends get dry without lots of conditioner. I left the conditioner on my hair for a minute or so before rinsing out.
In general I find tea tree shampoos smell quite medicated, this one had a strong minty smell which wasn't a bad smell, it smelled clean and fresh but still a little on the medicated side.
I found the conditioner much thinner than I expected, to the point of being quite runny. It is a pale green colour and I did spill quite a bit the first time I used it.
When I rinsed this out of my hair my hair was very soft and clean and didn't feel at all dry. My daughter who has much longer hair than I do thinks it's great for detangling, luckily I don't have this problem.
I thought the conditioner was good at 'conditioning' although it was a little on the runny side for my liking. I would get this product again as I think it is good value for money and it did leave my hair soft and smooth, I think for myself I would prefer one of their other scents too. I found this very gentle on the hair and head and for the size of the bottle it was a bargain.
Summary: A brand I would try again
