Advantages: Great value and lasts ages
Disadvantages: Not suitable for use on dyed hair as doesn't protect
When it comes to beauty and body products I am not a fan of spending a lot of money on them, I like to treat myself but on a budget and Alberto Basam shampoo is a product I regularly use as its cheap but appears to be off a good quality.
I normally buy this shampoo along with its matching conditioner at Savers for £1.49 for the two if a multi pack is available or 99p each.
The shampoo comes in a reasonable size bottle, for the price you get a shampoo which can last about 6 weeks if you use it every other day as I do.
The consistency of the shampoo is nice and thick and you only need a little bit as it lathers really nice into your scalp once it mixes with the water and it makes my hair and scalp feel really clean and refreshed.
I suffer from greasy roots, I can go to bed and my hair is fine but when I wake up the next day its a big mess and I have to wash it every other day or it just looks disgusting but this shampoo makes it feel so much cleaner and it has a lovely smell, the tea tree scent is strong but not overpowering and it wakes me up a little in those morning showers.
My only negatives on this shampoo is with the lid on the bottle, its impossible to get the last bit out unless you really bang the bottle against a tiled wall (like I do) or shake it vigorously as you cannot remove the top of the bottle and also its not really suitable for dyed hair (like mine).
I find my hair fades in colour so although I use this shampoo I only use it every so often for a nice clean wash, its a shame they can't make a colour protector tea tree shampoo!
Summary: Lovely scented shampoo that leaves my hair feeling clean
