Advantages: It has a matt finish?

Disadvantages: i do not know how to use this.

I was introduced to this product by a friend, and due to the recent adverts which spurred me to write this review. I have used the product a few times and now it sits in the cupboard collecting dust. Why? Read on.

~~~TUB DESIGN~~~
It is a nice design, easy shallow and small making it easy to store. A twisty lid means you can get it quite easily... and has a large surface area on the top to use. The screw was a bit loose in my opinion, whilst it might be easy to open, was a bit TOO easy, and could cause messes if it accidentally unscrewed.
There are no instructions on the back, well, there IS, but very vague and almost pointless in mentioning. As an amateur (I mean NOOB) at styling hair, this proved most useless.
~~~APPEARANCE AND TEXTURE~~~
The styling clay is just what it looks like. CLAY. It is grey in colour, and very sticky and grimy. It feels slightly like tar but slightly oily as well. It is a hard texture to describe.

~~~USABILITY~~~
As I said before, I'm a NOOB at styling hair, and the lack of instructions did not help, so I just went and tried whatever and played around with it. It did NOT work. Not only did it make hair oily, it did not hold AT ALL, and just makes hair look dirty, grimy and unclean.
My expectations of this was obviously that it was easy to use, and that almost anyone can use it and achieve SOME sort of result. I did NOT.
What I could achieve was to make hair more defined and the fringe could be made slightly more edgy; but the extreme style what was advertised with this product was NOT.
~~~PRICE~~~
I bought this for £3.99 in Boots.

~~~OVERALL~~~
I am not sure whether it is just ME who cannot use this product, but the lack of instructions did NOT help. I am sure that there ARE people in this world who uses this and LOVES this product, just that at the moment that is not me as I cannot control the substance found in this tub!!
Also, it is definitely NOT as easy as it looks!
I have not completely given up, perhaps a few useful Youtube videos might help... but until then, I'm staying away. My noob fingers shall not touch as of yet.
OH, and if someone who HAS used this product can help, then that would be great. Just leave a comment with any tips and advice! Thanks!
Try keeping it warm - under your pillow for example - it's easier to mold when it's a bit warm. Use it on hair that's just been blown dry. Rub a small amount into the tips of your fingers and work it into the hair from the root to the tip. Use sparingly and never use on wet hair.
Just call me Mr V05! :)
