Advantages: A great conditioner.

Disadvantages: Makes no difference to colour care.

After a few dodgy years with a seriously destroyed mullet I can now honestly say that my hair, in my opinion, is my crowning glory.

My husband, for want of a better term is my hero, he lets me go to the hairdressers for an extortionate amount of time to sit down be pampered and spend far too much of his money in one sitting, all this without moaning, what a guy!

I have decided to grow my hair becoming increasingly bored of my short inverted bob that I have been sporting for some time.
This being the case I have now got to keep having the same part of my hair dyed to top up the colour instead of cutting and dyeing new hair.
I knew that after spending so much on my wig I had to do everything in my power to keep my colour as fresh as possible for the optimum amount of time.
The fact that I have my hair dyed two different colours with a large proportion being white blonde also means that I need something that will keep my hair soft and manageable, not the easiest of tasks when your hair feels like straw!

After a shopping trip round Asda, I noticed that on one of there many offers the Alberto V05 conditioners were all on offer, the one that I purchased for the above mentioned properties being the one I will now review.

The conditioner I will now review is - "AlbertoV05 fade defy conditioner"

This particular conditioner stands out from the pack due to the vivid colour of the bottle, this being cherry red.
The bottle holds all the relevant and usual information, this being brand name, product name and the hair type that this conditioner is aimed towards this being all colour treated hair.
The bottle is the type of bottle that stands on its lid, this aids in getting all the product out without too much trouble, there's nothing worse than knowing there is still some left in there and not being able to get it out!
The bottle is finally the perfect shape, some bottles I find are almost impossible to grasp in the shower whilst squeezing out the conditioner with wet hands.
This bottle is wide but thin in girth, this means that it is holding the same amount of product but gives your hand the right amount of grip without dropping the bottle, this will of course stop my toes from being smashed to bits by low flying bottles!

The instructions are simple and the same on whichever brand you use. It always recommends that you wash your hair with the same branded shampoo first before applying the conditioner.
You only need a small amount of product around the size of a ten pence coin, I am afraid I cannot only put this amount on my hair. I like to feel my hair is saturated in conditioner, a hair mask if you will, so I have a good squirt of the product, smooth over my now straw like hair, then comb through very carefully with a wide toothed comb to evenly distribute.

The conditioner itself is thick and creamy, off white in colour. As with a few of these conditioners they always remind me of a trip to the hairdressers as they leave a delicious smell behind, this tends to last a good couple of hours after drying.

After drying my hair is soft and manageable. There is no static which can sometimes happen when the hair is too soft, and there doesn't seem to be much "fluffyness" left, this is of course what happens when the ends break or split and make the hair less likely to lie flat, depending on your preferred style of course!

And finally the fade defy element.... Honestly I can see no difference at all. The back of the bottle states that this product is ideal fro all coloured hair, but that it may be more beneficial for brown or red haired shades. My hair is chocolate brown for the base with a white blonde "flash" on one side. I have had no difference in colour for either shade, though I think this is a lovely conditioner as my hair feels wonderful after I have used it.

As I stated earlier this was purchased on offer, this being reduced down to £1.00 a bottle, this is a saving of around 80p. These deals are run on a regular basis.

This product doesn't seem to make much difference to the colour loss that many experience, but this is still in my mind a fantastic conditioner, recommended.
